The Queen of Spain chaired a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Fundación Residencia de Estudiantes (Students Residence) in Madrid.
The meeting focused on the activities held in 2019, which marked the 80th anniversary of the Spanish Exile. In addition, the activity of the Residence in 2021 will continue to be framed within the project 'Culture and education for a sustainable future' in collaboration with the ILE.
The Students Residence is a centre of Spanish cultural life. The Residence was founded in 1910, as a cultural institution that helped foster and create the intellectual environment of Spain's brightest young thinkers, writers, and artists. Some of the most prominent figures of 20th-century Spanish culture emerged from among the residents, including Federico García Lorca, Salvador Dalí, Luis Buñuel and Severo Ochoa. Today it organises numerous public events, in which many protagonists of the arts and sciences of the last decades take part.

What I adore most about this suit is the Queen's confidence to carry such a powerful look effortlessly. The tailoring is impeccable, the structured symmetry of the blazer is beautifully offset by the fluidity of the split hemmed trousers. The trousers are perfect in length, they graze the ground just as the designer intended, adding height to the wearer. Not all of Letizia's clothes need to be as practical as ours, she's in and out of the car, seated for a few hours, and then back home again. I feel that a different colour shoe would break the flow of the suit. Dark shoes looked fabulous on the model but may appear harsh away from the moody atmosphere of the runway. The snakeskin clutch provides a needed textural contrast to the block red, this is a superb look from Letizia!

That is one slinky pantsuit from Toretta and I really appreciate how the top photo shows the all-in-one nature of the jacket, achieving a subtle three-layer look. With the slit flares Letizia has a youthful edge just right for student matters. The Herrera red snakeskin clutch remains a winner and the heels divine.

This is a stunning suit. For many women, the flared, split hem on the pants would be just too edgy, but Letizia carried the look with pizzaz. Although many like a contrasting shoe, I love an all one colour look. The purse adds a different element in its texture, while still remaining in the same colour. This is one of Letizia's most cohesive outfits.

Oh wow, this looks effortlessly stylish and elegant. The Queen carries this trouser suit off with real panache. The red snakeskin bag is the perfect choice. In this case though I dont mind the all in one colour at all, it works in beautifully.
