Today, the Queen of Spain attended the announcement of the 2016 Princess Girona Award winner in the category of "Entity". Queen Letizia attended on behalf of her eldest daughter, Leonor. The 10 year old royal heir is now the honorary president of the Princess Girona Foundation, a position her father, Felipe VI once held as Prince of Asturias. The name of the foundation was changed in December 2014 to reflect the title now held by Leonor, Princess of Asturias.
This award is intended to distinguish institutions who work with young people to encourage entrepreneurship, employment, and education, as well improving the lives of disadvantaged youth in Spain.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia wore new pieces from Spanish high-street brand Massimo Dutti. The label is part of the Inditex group - a conglomerate that includes Letizia's favorites, Zara and Uterque. Letizia has not worn this clothing line for several years so it was surprise to see Her Majesty revisit this once-forgotten brand.
Today, the Queen paired the Massimo Dutti beige linen-blend coat (€165) with the Massimo Dutti striped sweatshirt (€25.95).
She accessorized with familiar pieces. She carried the Uterque embossed reptile-skin wristlet clutch and on her feet were Magrit black leather pumps.
Queen Letzia finished the outfit with her Carolina Herrera 'Falling Jasmine' stud earrings.
