The King and Queen of Spain are in New York to participate in the High-level meetings of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly. Their Majesties carried out separate agendas on their first day in the Big Apple.
Queen Letizia first meet with the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Margaret Chan.
She then held a meeting with Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, the Executive Director of UN Women.
Their Majesties reunited later in the day to meet and greet represenatives of the Mission of Spain to the United Nations.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia chose a flattering floral printed sheath dress by New York based designer, Carolina Herrerra. Below we see the same print in the Fall 2016 runway collection.
Her Majesty premiered a new handbag, the Loewe 'Senda'. The bag may be new to us but the style is a few seasons old. Letizia also owns the 'Sneda' in white which she debuted during a visit to Abu Dhabi in 2010. Today, she coordinated the croc-embossed bag with her red Magrit Ayres snakeskin leather pumps.
She topped off the look with her COOLOOK 'Kraz' interchangeable earrings; a combination of the 'Kraz' Mother of Pearl earrings and the 'Kraz' raspberry Agate tear drops.
STEAL QUEEN LETIZIA'S STYLE FOR LESS ...
Later that evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia gathered at the headquarters of the Cervantes Institute in New York City with a group of Spanish professionals from a range of sectors including research, academia, the arts, and social welfare.
Her Majesty made a wardrobe change but stayed with a Carolina Herrera design. She repeated the Carolina Herrera white/black floral dress, first worn to a journalism awards gala dinner in October 2014.
She accessorized the dress with her De Grisogono black diamond teardrop earrings, a black satin Felipe Varela clutch bag and a new pair of black heeled mules from Carolina Herrera's Spring 2015 collection.
