The award for the Exemplary Town of Asturias was established in 1990, it gifts a financial endowment of €25,000 and a royal visit. It is awarded to a town, village, population centre, scenic area or group of people in the Principality of Asturias that has stood out in a notable way in defending and conserving its natural or environmental setting, its historical, cultural or artistic heritage, boosting the economy or carrying out communal works or other displays of solidarity.
After the institutional greetings, the Spanish Royal Family toured the area and greeted representatives of Somao. Today there are approximately three hundred inhabitants.

The style of this trench coat is perfect and has all the classic details.
It can be worn in so many ways because it is functional and versatile. The neutral off white colour is sharp and will go with any outfit. It brings to mind the elegance of Jackie Onassis and Audrey Hepburn

Considering the nature of the day’s engagement, the Queen has consistently delivered a perfect mix of smart/casual attire in potentially cold and drizzly weather.  Saturday's ensemble continued this tradition. The light grey check trousers and stone trench coat embraces modern city style without being showy. Looking back at previous years, 2015 may be my favourite with the Queen's super chic bob, fitted military-inspired jacket and gorgeous green stone drop earrings.

Letizia's outfit is fine, although I find it rather drab. A colourful scarf would really perk things up.

That would be kind of French, however in Spain "colourful scarves" are rare.

This is a great ensemble and perfect for the occasion. The HB trench coat is divine, a marvellous addition in any wardrobe. Love the black loafers, there fabulous.

A really handy working outfit for the Queen made up of anonymous looking items that can be like a needle in a haystack when I go looking for them but are usually made up of items I've picked up over the years. I love those slim leg trousers with the grey check and the penny loafers are epic.

The studding pattern on the black Uterque bag work so well with the gently alternating neutral tones and the neat Hugo Boss trench is a die-hard classic which Letizia wears beautifully. Love Leonor's Springfield check coat, both girls stick to the same palette as their mother, very effective and professional.

Inspired by this blog, I picked up a very similar tan double-breasted trench coat from Cole Haan a few years back. I can testify that it goes with everything and elevates every casual spring and fall look. I would love to wear a similar pair of loafers- my only problem is that it is quite nippy here in Canada and I don't like having cold ankles. I usually end up wearing boots with it. 2019 is my favorite look above- maybe I'll have to pick up a navy trench as well!
