SOS Children's Villages is an international non-profit organisation that serves vulnerable children and adolescents, encouraging their development and autonomy through fostering in a protective family environment while strengthening their family, social and community networks. It is present in ten autonomous communities in Spain and in San Lorenzo de El Escorial there are seven homes that house 46 children.
Their Majesties held a meeting with representatives from the SOS Children's Villages. The Director explained that the priority, throughout confinement, has been to guarantee the physical and emotional well-being of the children living in the Village and to normalize the atypical situation. A series of measures were adopted to avoid infections and reduce anxiety. The Community of Madrid also delivered 28 tablets and 15 computers to help with schooling and maintaining contact with families.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia also had the opportunity to see one of the homes, 'Hogar La Mancha', where seven children reside, two groups of brothers between 6 and 17 years. Before leaving Their Majesties saw an exhibition of collages made by children during the confinement, which reflected their experiences and the lessons learnt from these months.

I love the psychedelic black/white print of this top as well as the tight elongated cuffs. It's a unique and imaginative piece that is striking against the black trousers. It's great to see some new clothes on Letizia!

I love this Hugo Boss top, a great find by Letizia, with its monochrome skilfully broken up by asymmetric shapes over uniform stripes. It's a lovely blouson shape which is neatly waisted by comfy elastic. It manages both elegance and practicality for engaging with small children.

I'm not so sure about the trousers. They seem a touch full at the waist given how full the top is, and the crop length looks odd over the clunky espadrille. The effect is to shorten Letizia's legs which she doesn't need here. The shoes are partly redeemed by their black front, but I find the wedge heel cumbersome under a wide leg. The pony tail is fun and a child friendly style, and it's good to see the huggy hoop earrings again.

I think this is a great look for Queen Letizia and I love her shoes. I believe she also has them in a natural tone as well, doesn't she?

This is a casual but smart outfit, which works perfectly for the morning's agenda. Boss's graphic pattern resembles sweeping paint strokes. The Queen has wisely pulled the sleeves up to the forearms, the black cuffs beautifully align with the black splash defining her waist, whilst reducing heaviness, creating a more summery look. Cropped wide-leg trousers help balance the proportions of the high ribbed sweater and the alpargatas tassels are neatly hidden under the hems adding length to the ensemble. It's wonderful to see Letizia's hair up in a chic ponytail off of her face, we can also appreciate the flattering effect of the wide-neckline.

Amused to see you come to the well-informed but exact opposite view of those trousers! I've a feeling we've seen them before looking just great, I think I may be swayed by an odd angle on a photograph. That Hugo Boss top is amazing, it clearly pays to go to a good label. Funny the budget Massimo Dutti should go to the Prado but these schoolchildren are treated to HB and Armani!

This is a gorgeous blouse. The print of this pattern is very eye-catching and modern. The black cuffs are a beautiful addition. The black of the shoes works in perfectly with this outfit. The Queens casual hair and hooped earrings looks fabulous. For this type of visit this was a real win for me.
