I adore silk dresses and I absolutely love this one. The Queen looks beautiful. I love the neckline, sleeves and fall of this dress. Her accessories fantastic the blue reptile shoes are gorgeous ! Opal earrings are a wonderful touch.

This meeting was very important, the woman who was with her is Ana Botín the Executive Chair man and owner of the Santander Bank, the most powerful person in Spain. They talked with women who are plumber, pilots of the Air force, truck drivers, etc...

I'm afraid that I don't like this dress, particularly the print. The length is too long and the blousy sleeves are a little exaggerated. Sandro makes some nice pieces but I haven't been entirely sold on the last two dresses because of their prints. Positives, I love silk and I can imagine that this dress felt lovely to wear. The addition of the thin waist belt was a wise choice, anything bigger may have been overwhelming and the off white colour coordinates well with the opal earrings which look bright and fresh against her dark hair. It's great to see a pair of earrings which haven't been worn publicly in a long time. The Magrit shoes/clutch are ideal, the cobalt blue and navy match colours within the print. Hair and make up are perfect, natural but polished. Although I dislike the dress I commend the Queen for this unexpected and striking choice, it seems quite out of her comfort zone, I hope she continues to keep us on our toes!

As a curious fact, part of the benefits that are collected from the entire collection of the earrings will be used for the research of the foundation FERO , which researchs treatnents against cancer.

Thanks for the insight Simone! A very considered purchase of Letizia's. I love hearing details like this and when you mentioned that she told her military aid to provide water bottles for all the officials and civil guards standing in the sun on 13/05/19.

Really don't like this dress. That print is awful.

The danger of clothes with very big/strong patterns is that they can easily look like a curtain (which I think is the present situation). From what I've seen, one way to bypass such trap, is to ... break visually the pattern at some point, like what is tried here with the belt probably. But the belt in this case is too thin to be noticeable, hence it didn't do the job.

I agree with Jennifer also. Don't like the pattern neither the lenght. The only difference is that I liked the green Sandro dress, it is original, chic, but this one is curtain like. You can do it better, QL!

I agree Wendy, but since this is a fashion blog, I feel free to comment her outfit. I think we are all aware that we comment something which is not that important at the end of the day. 😉

I do agree with many that the print of this dress is very overwhelming. It is so dominant your eyes focus on the dress rather than Letizia who is swallowed up by the intricate pattern. These types of prints seem to be a new trend as I have seen quite a few famous ladies wearing similar boldly patterned dresses e.g Duchess of Cambridge and as was mentioned CP Victoria of Sweden who has the exact same dress. Despite the print I do like the design of the dress especially the pretty neckline and lovely long sleeves. I also like the white skinny belt and how the choice of blue shoes highlight that colour in the dress.

Bertie, the earrings are white, however Elizabeth must not have found them to show us in white.
