Queen Letizia met with the First Lady of the USA, Dr. Jill Biden at Zarzuela Palace on Monday, ahead of the NATO Summit held in Madrid this week.
The pair later visited the headquarters of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) to learn about their work and projects, as well as the international collaboration in cancer research.
Queen Letizia stepped out in a black & white polka dot sheath dress by Spanish fashion designer, José Hidalgo.
The Seville based couturier has a strong focus on flamenco style and Letizi's dress appears to be a modified version seen in a 2019 collection.
On her feet were her black suede Carolina Herrera slingback pumps.
Queen Letizia finished the look with her diamond bezel set stud earrings.

Polka dots are a favorite of mine and always eye catching. The fabric of this dress is a creative twist on a classic print. I love how the dots are very close together at the top and then gradually disperse towards the bottom. The simple, form fitting style is very flattering. The flamenco version is also gorgeous but it would have been over the top for this event. Both Letizia and Mrs. Biden look great.

Letizia always looks well in a sheath and this Jose Hidalgo offering stands out in its inventive use of graded polka dots, which makes a refreshing change from the standard uniform print. The black suede Herrera slingbacks are an excellent match and the diamond bezel studs look as magnificent as ever.

This is a lovely dress, the patterning of the dots is very effective. The fit, cut and style of this dress, I love. The sling back shoes were the perfect choice.
