Queen Letizia pays tribute to host nation in red Roberto Torretta dress for final night in Argentina26/3/2019
On the final evening of the State Visit to Argentina, King Felipe and Queen Letizia offered a glittering reception in honour of their Argentine hosts at the Four Seasons in the nation's capital.
Queen Letizia upped the glam factor for her final night in Buenos Aires, stepping out in a striking red cocktail dress by Roberto Torretta.
The strapless number is defined by an asymmetrical detail at the bodice. The design is from the label's Spring/Summer 2016 collection.
The designer choice was a sartorial nod to the host nation. Torretta was born in Buenos Aires before moving to Madrid in 1972 to get acquainted with the fashion world. After decades working for other fashion houses he started his eponymous label 1997. You may recall Queen Letizia first wore the brand in March 2018 when she debuted a red two-piece suit by the designer.
Letizia teamed the red dress with her black Bottega Veneta's 'Knot' clutch bag and Manolo Blahnik 'Gotrianc' Slingbacks 105 heels.
The Spanish queen complemented the dazzling look with a "joyas de pasar" diamond bracelet and her De Grisogono black diamond teardrop earrings.
Following the reception, Their Majesties boarded a flight to Cordoba (Argentina) where tomorrow they will participate in the inauguration of the VIII International Congress of the Spanish Language.
Queen Letizia was seen holding a red patterned lightweight scarf.

Absolutely superb and simply wonderful – on top of which I’m running out of hyberbole! I can’t get over that subtlety of shaping which sees the dress cinched into a flattering empire line with contrast ruffled fabric under the bust, then skimming out effortlessly smooth over Letizia’s petite frame. It makes sense to point to Delposo as a possible source.

I wasn't sure who he was but Googled him after I saw how warm and friendly he and Letizia appeared to be :)

Queen Letizia has the best arms ever! She and I are the same age, and I absolutely love her aesthetic, and this dress is no exception. She looks swoon worthy! She has been flawless in this trip, with the exception of that green Carolina Herrera. As others have commented, there was simply too much cleavage.

By the way...Roberto Torreta's son is married to Amancio Ortega's daughter (Zara's owner)...☺

Red dress is gorgeous. Especially in the lighting of pic #1 & #4. Don't think the choice of shoes add to the outfit.

This is a beautiful dress in a wonderful bold red colour. What looks like a simple dress must be very complex due to the design of the bodice. It's interesting to see it up close on the model so we can appreciate it's originality. I love those shoes too.

The Queen looks beautiful. In the first photo she looks absolutely stunning. A knockout cocktail dress, the colour suits her so well. Love the jewellery with this dress, the bag, gorgeous! The scarf/shoulder cape she is carrying looks interesting, I wonder where that is from?

After getting out the plane, she was wearing a handkerchief in their hands. Tricky to identify.

The Queen looks so glamours, I love everything about this look, the colour, length, fit and detailing on the bust - it's so modern, it's great to see another Roberto Torretta design! The De Grisogono earrings, Bottega Veneta clutch and Manolo Blahnik shoes all add subtle interest, bringing such polish to the outfit. First Lady Juliana Awada also looks very stylish, her dress looks such fun to wear.
