Queen Letizia Stuns in Carolina Herrera One-Shoulder Dress at the Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony

The King and Queen of Spain, along with their daughters Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, presided over the 2023 Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony, which took place at the Campoamor Theater in Oviedo.

Upon their arrival, the Spanish royal family followed the tradition of walking the blue carpet with Queen Sofia and posing for photos.

The Awards acknowledge international achievements in various fields, including Arts, Literature, Social Sciences, Communication, Humanities, Technical and Scientific Research, International Cooperation, Concord, and Sports.

17-year-old Leonor, Princess of Asturias addressed the attendees during the awards ceremony which bears her title.

This event is one of the most anticipated on the Spanish royal calendar and we are always excited to see what Her Majesty will premier for this annual gala.

For the second consecutive year, Queen Letizia chose a Carolina Herrera dress, debuting a black, skin-skimming, one-shoulder crepe midi dress.

On her feet were a new pair of Aquazzura 'Gatsby' Sling 75 Pumps in Gold Plexi ($1,250). They are currently in stock at Saks Fifth Avenue and Farfetch.

Letizia looks beautiful in this elegant, basic black CH dress with the daring asymmetrical shoulder look. I love the metallic shoes even though they had a hefty price tag of $1,250.. The wavy hairstyle looks fabulous.

Queen Letizia looked superb, love the dress, fits perfectly. Not a fan of the shoes at all. Her earrings and clutch, good choices. Her hair and makeup were on point.
Princess Leonor, wore my favourite earrings of her mothers. The Aqua and diamond earrings are stunning. The blue aqua stones are a wonderful size, gorgeous earrings, lovely to see her wearing the.

Letizia looks just superb in her slinky black one-shoulder Herrera dress and her black satin Lamberston clutch has all the class necessary to accompany it. My one quibble is over the new Aquazzura pumps, which, due to the crystal studding on the straps, don't seem to photograph well and which adds unwanted bulk. Her waved hair is perfect with this, as are the fun large sparkly hoops.

Leonora seems to have opted for a mature style again, and it would be a shame if she felt she needed to opt for an older look to appear serious. The way the Moises Nieto jacket bulks out under the belt does her no favours and the boucle/ fine pleated soft skirt contrast seems lost in the deep colour. Her Mascaro pumps are lovely, and those Bulgari earrings must always be divine.

Sofia seems to have had better luck with her Cardie Tabia dress which succeeds in being both dramatic and feminine in a manner reminiscent of her mother. Her Massimo Dutti flats work well here.
