On Wednesday, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia inaugurated the second tower of the Puig Company in Barcelona.
Named the Puig-T2 Tower, the second building consolidates the expansion of the Puig Company's corporate headquarters. Puig is a third-generation, family-owned fashion and fragrance company founded in 1914 in Spain, known for brands loved by Her Majesty, such as Carolina Herrera and Nina Ricci.
The King and Queen of Spain toured the Puig-T2 Tower and learned about the different work areas housed in the new building.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia debuted a black jacquard pantsuit by Puig-owned label Dries Van Noten. It features a single-breasted jacket with mandarin collar and patch flap pockets at the chest, paired with slim straight-leg trousers.
She carried a new Carolina Herrera Initials Insignia Crossbody Bag in black.
On her feet were her Carolina Herrera Slingback Pumps in Black Leather.
Letizia topped off the ensemble with her gold Carolina Herrera Jasmine Earrings.

While I appreciate the style and tailoring of this suit, I find the all black look a bit sombre and boring. The outfit needs something to brighten it up. The bold earrings help but maybe a pearl brooch would add some pizzazz. I like the classic mandarin collar which is something we don't see too often these days. The suit fits Letizia well and the pant length is perfect.

This is a gorgeous outfit from Dries van Noten, that ever classy label. The black jacquard is sophisticated and mysterious, and suits the hint of oriental style in the mandarin collar. I'm not so sure about the military-style patch pockets, but I suppose they are of their time and counter an overflow of femininity. The slimleg pants are the perfect pairing with the jacket.
