Queen Letizia visited the Museum of the Royal Mint (Museo Casa de la Moneda) in Madrid today for a tour of the School of Printmaking and Graphic Design of the Royal Mint.
She was also on hand to deliver the Graduation Diplomas to the 7th promotion of the "Master in Graphic Design and Engraving" and the Tomás Francisco Prieto 2018 Award.
Queen Letizia brought back her Hugo Boss colorblock separates.
The colourful geometric ensemble features the BOSS 'Felisabeth' short-sleeve knit sweater with the coordinating BOSS 'Seplea' Colorblock Leather A-Line Skirt.
This is the fourth time Queen Letizia has publicly worn the separates since she debuted them in May 2018.
Like on the last occasion we saw this set, Letizia topped it with her camel Felipe Varela wool coat.
Today however, she swapped the Magrit 'Laura' pumps for her camel Hugo Boss block heel pumps.
The Gold & Roses 'Skyline' crawler earrings are Letizia's favorite choice with this outfit.

This is one outfit I wish the Queen would retire. I don't like the colour pallet or the patterns on the skirt and top. For me, re-styling wouldn't save these pieces together or separately. I love bold colours, mixing of prints and patterns but I don't think this works in a modern or elegant way. Positives, perfect hair and makeup, the Felipe Varela coat is beautifully tailored and I love the gorgeous soft camel colour. The coat works well to somewhat neutralise the skirt, hiding the orange and blue sections. I'm not overly fond of these Hugo Boss shoes either but I appreciate they work well tonally. This outfit has been worn several times now, I commend the Queen for wearing something she clearly feels comfortable in, this outfit isn't inappropriate in any way, just likely to polarise opinions.

Came here to comment about this look and Jennifer said everything I wanted to say. I agree 100%. While the camel colour in the skirt goes with the camel coat, I don't like anything else about the skirt. The top looks cheap. Sorry Letizia, let's put this skirt and top to rest. The coat is beautiful and would look so good paired with all black underneath. The coat would also look good with a camel coloured skirt and brown top.

Well, I have seen the top in a Hugo Boss shop myself and I can assure you it doesn't look cheap at all. It's fantastic!

I think the divine Varela coat is definitely the star of this particular outing!

Letizia's outfits from previous years highlight the great style she once had. The outfits from 2015 and 2017 were gorgeous and 2018 was nice too. She has obviously accumulated a great number of beautiful items in her wardrobe and literally has thousands of past outfits to choose from. Why would she re-wear this awful outfit that has already been worn far too many times already??

Letizia is really getting her moneys-worth from this Hugo Boss two-piece. I like it's freshness and those unusual colours in bright contrast, vivid orange against bold blue, with white for balance. It's a real vintage op-art style of print, and I love the placing of the colour blocks on the skirt, which also introduces the taupe neutral to ground the excitement of the sweater top. The components are all classic and the result still fresh and original.

This look makes me smile. It's bright and fun and yet it is not out of place for the occasion.

I bet that she does not read us...lol....Provably she would need to adapt clothes from 2015, she has put weight on, some if them look like too much tight sometimes....

Hey Wendy, I have often wondered myself if Queen Letizia reads this blog especially since it's the only one that documents her outfits with such detail. I can't imagine what she thinks of some of the criticism but then she also gets a lot of praise. But if she does read our comments she obviously doesn't care what we think of this particular outfit because she keeps on wearing it.

I occasionally visit some of the Spanish QL blogs and the bloggers and their readers are brutal. Elizabeth does a brilliant job in meticulously detailing every outfit but also creating a space where we can respectfully discuss the outfit, good or bad. I find this blog so refreshing. It's the best one out there. And I don't think QL cares what people think. If she likes it, she wears it.

I would doubt of someone who liked all of me and always says what I would liked to hear....Respect criticism helps...

Milly, in Spain some media use her to attack the Monarchy, she is the weakest member....some people do not forgive that she was a commoner, but however Felipe would be the guilty...he never dated a princess..

I actually like the skirt, I love lether and this particular skirt has very interesting colours. But I think the skirt is strong enought so it would look better with one colour top. This top is very busy and with the skirt it is a bit too much for eyes.

Noooooooo! I hoped never to see this skirt again! Thankfully it was mostly hidden by the coat. In truth, it made me smile. It's like she keeps wearing it to taunt some of us. Someone at work today referred to my new blouse as a nightgown. It's from a Danish designer and I'm in Canada. I think it's chic and fabulous. This is what makes fashion so interesting.

Genevieve, you have a very rude co-worker. Please don't allow he or she to discourage you. As long as you like the blouse that is all that matters.
