The European Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Terrorism was established after the attacks in Madrid in 2004. This year 'Growing stronger together' is the theme, the day brings together victims of terrorism, those who have lost someone, and first responders.

This cropped fitted jacket is what suits Letizia's figure best. It lands at the top of the hip elongating her legs. Navy blue is a nice change from basic black and the pearl necklace brightens it up even more. I really admire the Macron couple. Despite the age difference I think they are very compatible and Brigitte has her own unique style that is quite contemporary.

Letizia’s whole outfit from overcoat to Double Breast Navy pants suits, perfection. I want the dark navy Hugo Boss pant suit.💙
I review the pictures closely, because I was not sure if Letizia’s overcoat was a midnight navy color, it looks almost black, please add the color to the description. The faux fur collar is black, should be noted.

A superb classic ladies' pant suit from Hugo Boss which gladdens my old-fashioned heart. I'm grateful for a break from trying to appreciate Teddy boy style jackets. The beautiful feminine shaping of the waisted jacket is a joy to me and the wonderfully tailored sleek pants are every bit a match for it. This is businesslike with feminine cool overload. Love it. The Nina Ricci heels are lovely and sharp with it and the slouchy Loewe clutch is a gentle contrast to sharp tailoring. The HB coat is gorgeous though I'm not a fan of fur collars myself -- I like to think it would have added warmth for an outdoor seated event. Interested to see how hard it is for state heads to remember restrictions on touching each other in our present health-sensitive environment.

Hi Bertie, I may have a old fashioned heart as well, because I was tickled pink when I saw this outfit. Beautifully said!
How I would love a pantsuit similar to this in my wardrobe! I'll dream away.

Me too Bertie and Ava, I am glad to see a return to classic Hugo Boss and a properly proportioned suit with a beautiful pearl necklace. This Loewe bag has long been a favorite of mine and I love the coat with the fur collar too! My only objection would be that it seems that her blouse is not exactly the same shade of navy, but that could just be the photographs or my computer display.

Letizia looks very appropriate for the occasion. The fit of this suit is fabulous. I hope to see it again with a different top.

This is tremendous, a beautiful, superior navy pant suit. I was so happy to see this outfit on the Queen (it was heaven sent!). The pants are tailored perfectly, giving the impression of length, sitting flawlessly. Divine jacket, again superbly fitted. Glorious navy coat (colour to me appears navy), I don't wear or normally like fur collars, but I love this one. The pearl necklace sealed the deal for me, simply splendid.( I am a pearl girl from way back and wear mine when possible) Outstanding outfit.

I love pearls too, Ava. But sometimes I feel they are only for very special occasions. If I wear them to work people might think I am over dressed. I shouldn't care what people think.

Oh yes very true, definitely, I know what you mean, special events depending what the occasion, peals add such elegance.

This outfit is elegant and dignified. Hugo Boss's suit fits beautifully with the jacket tapering in at the waist, creating a slight hourglass silhouette, which is emphasised further against the slim-fitting trousers. The overall effect feels ladylike, appropriate for lunch, while respectful of the occasion. Navy isn't as severe as black and is equally fitting for the event. For me, there is a slight disconnect between the regal pearls and cotton tee-shirt. To enhance the look, I would have styled the suit with a navy silk camisole or a white collarless silk shirt with the pearls worn underneath; or a white silk v-neck blouse to echo the lines of the lapels (if a white top would be considered appropriate for the event). In general, I am not a fan of fur collars but the detachable piece provides a needed textural contrast to the matte navy. Special mention to First Lady Brigitte Macron who is also perfectly attired, I often enjoy her fashion choices.
