Queen Letizia wows in white for World Cancer Research Day events in New York

On her second and final day in New York City, the Queen of Spain attended events within the framework of World Cancer Research Day (24 September).

Queen Letizia and Jill Biden mark World Cancer Research Day at Columbia University on 21st September 2022

She first held a meeting at the Cervantes Institute in New York, with Spanish researchers in the fight against cancer.

Queen Letizia then visited Columbia University Irving Medical Center where she was joined by the First Lady of the United States, Dr Jill Biden.

The pair participated in a meeting at Columbia University to highlight the importance and global cooperation of cancer research.

Lauren has created a winner with this shirtdress. I like the way Letizia folded the sleeves and made them 3/4 length with cuffs. It's the perfect length, the off white colour is lovely and the belt is a great accessory. At first glance I thought it was a 2 piece skirt and blouse not a dress!

What a timeless and beautifully made dress. Of course, it's by Ralph Lauren Collection with its cinematic references and refined elegance. This is a 'hero' piece - a classic shirt dress that will transcend 'trends'. The fit is perfect, from the relaxed drape of the loose-fit blouse, to the neat A-line skirt. Design-wise, the dropped-waist pleats keep the waist area clean for a flattering effect. A quality fabric was chosen: the fluid crepe moves gracefully and the silver hardware on the belt provides discreet panache. The rolled-up sleeves add effortlessness to the overall look and help balance the 'just below the knee length skirt'. With regard to styling, as I have mentioned previously, I dislike most Carolina Herrera logos, but the tan accessories complement the sophisticated ensemble. Special mention to First Lady, Dr Jill Biden who looks elegant in a repeated Gabriela Hearst dress.

This RL shirtdress is divine. The pleating of the skirt looks fabulous. The overall look is stylish chic and elegant. I love, the cognac strappy shoes, beautiful. The gold hooped earrings were the perfect finishing touch.

An absolute cracker of a shirtdress from Ralph Lauren, this looks great on Letizia. She's sticking to almost-white in a medical context, with a businesslike vibe in the shirt style, to which she adds a casual touch in the rolled up cuffs.

The completely plain shirt bodice gains full contrast against the texture of the knife-pleated skirt, which enjoys excellent movement in its folds. A truly skilful reworking of a classic style by Lauren.

Tan accessories are great and t he colour lively. I love new the Herrera Doma Insignia cross-body bag, and those Magrit pumps have a hint of spice in those skinny cross-straps.

Queen Letizia really knows how to make a style statement. Her white Ralph Lauren dress is the definition of chic elegance. And those ‘Laura’ cognac heels from Magrit are simply stunning. They truly add a sophisticated touch to her outfit. She is a total style inspiration!
