Today, Queen Letizia joined her husband King Felipe at the Royal Palace of Madrid to deliver the National Research Awards. Each year they are granted to distinguished innovators in the fields of medicine, biology, engineering, social sciences and humanities.
Queen Letizia recycled a Felipe Varela separates outfit. It consists of a red jacket with scallop edges and a matching pencil skirt.
The vibrant red skirt suit was first worn by Letizia in December 2009.
Today, Letizia debuted a new pair of bordeaux patent pumps. They were identified as the Lodi 'Debra' style (€99). These killer heels have a scalloped trim and pointed toe. Lodi is a Spanish footwear brand which prides itself on its commitment to "Made in Spain" manufacturing.
We saw the return of her dazzling ruby and diamond dangle earrings.
The most surprising aspect of Letizia's outfit was a yellow band bracelet inscribed with the word ARHOE, referring to the National Commission for the Rationalization of Spanish Working Hours which aims to improve the work/life balance for Spaniards. Coincidentally, Their Majesties received members of ARHOE in audience last week. During the event held at the Palacio de la Zarzuela , representatives of ARHOE must have gifted the Queen with a bracelet to promote their cause.
