Spanish Royal Family hold audiences ahead of Princess of Asturias Awards

The King and Queen of Spain, accompanied by their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, began their second day in Oviedo at the Reconquista Hotel ahead of this evening's Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony.

They first held an audience with the winners of the 'End of Career 2021' awards from the University of Oviedo.

Later they meet those awarded the "Medallas de Asturias 2022"

The Spanish Royal Family then move to Covadonga Hall where they received the 2022 Princess of Asturias Laureates.

I adore this dress and went back to the 2019 post to revisit the comments. I recalled that the comments were polarized, some thinking the dress was staid while others agreed with me that it is 1940s glamour and sex appeal! The second wear with the black belt and coat was a flop but here we're back to the dress with its elegant self belt. The only thing I would change is to wear a grey or silver shoe. The fabric makes me think of moonlight and I want the shoe to be ethereal too.

The Cherubina Didi is a pretty dress but restrained compared with some of Letizia's more daring choices, like the previous day's Helbig halterneck. It's fabulously matched with the lovely diamond and pearl drop earrings and the trusty Nina Ricci kitten heels.

However I can't help feeling ait's a good pick if Letizia wants to step into the background a little to showcase her two daughters, Leonora in particular looks terrific in her Carolina Herrera two-tone textured skirt suit. Such a classic short jacket with plain crew neck and simple button-up front. The short skirt suits her well.

Infanta Sofia has a deliciously savvy pick from Hugo Boss in the asymmetric dress with contrast stripes and perfect with her own Paco Gil kitten heels. Altogether a very professional turn-out by the ladies for formal audiences.
