Spanish Royal Family hold audiences ahead of Princess of Asturias Awards

On Friday morning, the King and Queen of Spain, along with their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, hosted audiences ahead of the Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony this evening.

They commenced the day by holding audiences at the Hotel Reconquista, where they met with recipients of the 2023 End of Degree Awards from the University of Oviedo and the winners of the 2023 Medals of Asturias.

The Spanish Royal Family then moved to the hotel's Covadonga Hall where they received the 2023 Princess of Asturias Laureates.

Letizia looks both feminine and businesslike in her Boss blazer and trousers. I like the cut of them very much. The blazer is referencing oversize in its boxy shape, but remains in proportion to Letizia's size so she is not overwhelmed, and the trousers are well tapered to a crop length which keeps the overall impression neat. Perhaps the Massimo Dutti flats are just a shade too flat.

The pleats at the neck of the Boss blouse work like an imitation tie. The Carrie buckle front slingbacks are cute and the gold and diamond earrings lovely.

I'm not so sure about Leonor's very sensible pink shirtdress, it seems a touch matronly on one so young. The Simorra print is very pretty, the colour is good on the Princess, and I love the block heel slingbacks. I like the jacket style top of Sofia's Sandro tweed dress, the use of the dark trim on the cream base is skilful. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be a flattering length this time, which is unusual given the Infanta's long legs.

The pantsuit looks stylish and chic. Very elegant look by the Queen. The H Boss blouse is pretty, love the neckline. The nude slingback pumps, perfect!
