The Queen of Spain began her day with a solo engagement. She attended a congress of the Latin American Alliance for Rare Diseases. You may recall that Her Majesty is the honorary president of the Spanish Federation For Rare Diseases and she has supported the cause for many years.
Afterward, Queen Letizia joined her husband, King Felipe at the inauguration of the Mexico-Spain Business Meeting which was also attended by Mexican President Peña Nieto and his wife.
Their busy morning continued with a visit to the Mexican Senate. Their Majesties attended a parliamentary session of the Permanent Committee of the Congress of the Union where King Felipe was invited to address the Mexican Senate.
For this morning's events, Queen Letizia repeated a Nina Ricci ensemble she premiered earlier this month during the State visit to France. She accessorized the outfit in the same way, with her Nina Ricci 'Arc' black leather clutch, Prada Saffiano patent pumps, and dazzling ruby and diamond drop earrings.

In the afternoon, the royal couple had lunch at the Embassy of Spain before signing the implementation of the International Service Assessment of the Spanish Language (Siele).
Letizia made a wardrobe change and revealed a Felipe Varela white pencil skirt with a striking burgundy floral pattern. She coordinated it with a cropped sleeve burgundy silk blouse.
On her feet were a new pair of heels. Letizia debuted the Magrit 'Marina' burgundy satin strap sandals.
Staying with the same hue, Letizia accessorized with her Uterque floral clutch.
Letizia wore her hair in an elegant braided up-do which show off her TOUS moonstone earrings.

Absolutely love the red Nina Ricci ensemble (not so much the coat). She looks great in it.
