Queen Letizia spent the day with her in-laws to lend support to the Spanish Red Cross fundraising day (Dia de la Banderita). The fundraising event has been celebrated annually for over a century and traditionally includes the participation of the Spanish royal family. This was the first time King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia had been seen in public together since the enthronement of their son King Felipe. There have been rumors in the Spanish press that the couple might be splitting up, but today's display of affection may suggest otherwise. Queen Letizia looked sophisticated in a contemporary white/black checkered wool top, paired with black trouser pants. There are still no details about the top but the pattern closely resembles the Hugo Boss 'Heldina' check dress. UPDATE (10/10/2014) The team atVanitatis have identified the brand of the top. It is by Danish label Designers Remix. It is rendered in a wool blend and retailed for about 450 euros. She accessorized with a flash of red to reflect the Red Cross colours. She opted to wear her cherry red almond-toe pumps, first seen in October last year. Today she carried a new chili red beaded clutch. The elongated clutch has a flap front and back zippered pocket. The brand remains unidentified. UPDATE (10/10/2014) Spanish accessory designer Tissa Fontaneda has confirmed that Queen Letizia is carrying their red nappa bubble 'Flavia' clutch. Post by Tissa Fontaneda. Letizia completed the outfit wearing her Links of London 'Hope Egg' white topaz earrings and a pop of subtle red lip gloss. SHOP QUEEN LETIZIA'S STYLE FOR LESS ...

I LOVE this look on her. She is a stunning woman and looks great so often on her royal duties. I like the red lip gloss and red accessories with the black and cream outfit.
