Her Majesty held a video conference with directors and employers of the Residencia de Estudiantes (Students Residence) - a cultural research institution. The pandemic has suspended all residential activity of students and researchers. The Residence has put into place an infrastructure that allows remote access to the information and services for all personnel concerned.  They explained how they consider the situation to be an unprecedented challenge which they hope to turn into an opportunity.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia then held a video conference with representatives of the Confederación Empresarial de Hostelería de España (Spanish Business Confederation of Hospitality). They were informed of the great uncertainty facing the hospitality and tourism sector from the effects of the pandemic. . Hospitality and tourism are among the main engines of economic and social development in Spain. The hospitality sector is made up of more than 300,000 establishments that employ 1.7 million workers, it's contribution is sizable to the national GDP.

This is a visual relief to have a dark top with a light check pattern in the jacket. The last time we saw this jacket it was worn with an apparently colourless top and which seemed a bit washed out, though hard to tell with uncertain home video lighting. The darker top brings welcome definition and helps Letizia look more businesslike and focused, even in such low-keep appearances I think these things count.

I can hardly bear to think what the Spanish tourist industry is facing right now, kudos to their majesties for being open to hearing the problems.
