The King & Queen of Spain held video conferences with women's soccer club and Royal Spanish Academy30/4/2020
The King and Queen of Spain continued video conferences at the Palace of Zarzuela.
Queen Letizia held a video conference with the heads of Club de Fútbol Femenino Olympia de Las Rozas (Olympia de Las Rozas Women's Soccer Club). The club combines the practice of soccer with educational development based on non-sports activities that build towards personal development. Since the suspension of all training and competitions due to the pandemic, coaches have sent players exercise plans and challenges to maintain fitness and morale, in addition, players have written letters carrying messages of hope and affection to the elderly residents in Las Rozas.
Their Majesties chaired a virtual plenary session with the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) - it is the official royal institution responsible for overseeing the Spanish language. Thursday's plenary was dedicated to the study and debate of some of the most used words during the crisis, in order to complete the definitions of those that are already in dictionaries and to study the possible incorporation of others. During the pandemic, the RAE has continued full institutional functioning, in academic activity, and work with collaborators to provide services to citizens with new working methods.

I'm happy to see the return of a more photogenic Breton top, though I'm not sure it's the same as the last one as this shows a dark stripe at the throat and the last one finished on a white band. Either way it's a fine classic combination and helps frame Letizia's face well. I'm so impressed how this couple have used video conference skills to keep up with all their interests, here Letizia has covered sport -- perhaps the Breton counts as a sporting reference -- and then on to the Royal Spanish Academy.
