The King and Queen of Spain held an open dialogue with Young Talents at the Palace of Zarzuela on Thursday.

The King and Queen of Spain held an open dialogue with Young Talents at the Palace of Zarzuela on 28 May 2020

Their Majesties held an open two-hour dialogue with eight Spanish Talents, four women, and four men, born between 1984 and 1994 from areas of; research, technology, business, culture, and social action, who explained how they believe the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting Spanish society. In addition, the Young Talents discussed their vision for the future. King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia highlighted the need to value what young people are doing for Spain.

Queen Letizia wore her Hugo Boss 'Koralena' Tweed Jacket and her black Carolina Herrera suede pointed toe pumps.

I like seeing the Hugo Boss tweed jacket again, it manages business decorum while also being pretty with its classic Chanel-style dark trims. It's also brought up to date with the trendy zip opening.

It's nice to see full-length shots of the Spanish royals again, it brings a touch of normality to proceedings, and is a reassuring demonstration of how business can carry on complete with social distancing. Thank you so much for the stellar job you are doing of updating the blog!

It's my pleasure, Elizabeth. I just hope I'm not doing anything inappropriate as I know others have stood down out of their own sense of respect. But I see Letizia soldiering on and you faithfully acknowledging both her work and her outfits and hate to see you left talking to yourself.These are respectful choices made in difficult times and Letizia is a model of sobriety in her carefully attired appearances. It will be something to look back on one day.

It's wonderful to see more of these engagements and the King and Queen interacting face to face rather than via Zoom. I think we can expect to see Letizia in this type of look in the near future. I really can't see her getting all frocked up any time soon. She is doing a wonderful job and her sartorial choices are appropriately conservative.
