Letizia switched it up a bit this time with the shoes. But I think the blue shoes looked better. I don't see any tan in the pattern. Black might have worked better since she is wearing a black belt.

I still love this dress to bits, the bold all over pattern with its distinct Chinoiserie flavour is a win for me. Love those colours of intense blue plus exotic orange highlights which keep it contemporary and fresh for me while Letizia still enjoys the comfort of a classic mid-style gathered dress. The belted waist helps keep all the fabric under control, and being silk it behaves beautifully. It all makes for a successful showing of the style on petite Letizia when they can threaten to overwhelm.

Interested to see subtle changes in accessories each time unlike some outfits where everything is kept the same. Glad this one can be freshened up, I like the dark belt and nude Herrera slingbacks. Love your three-peat heading!! New broom?? ;-)

I loved this dress the first time she wore it and the same now. I really like the contrasting shoes they work well. She looks appropriately dressed for this visit. Her hair and makeup are spot on.

I expected a repeat today because of the nature of the engagement and Wednesday's gorgeous new opera look. I'm sorry to reiterate the same niggles, but sadly the busy print and twee earrings haven't grown on me. I can't deny that the Queen always appears beautifully attired in this Sandro piece. The cut of the dress is very considered, the bodice skims the torso, there is no gathering of fabric at the waist from the addition of the belt. I think the base colour of the print may be a delicate blush tone, it's soft against her complexion and looks expensive. It's refreshing to see a different choice of footwear, the nude slingbacks add a lightness to the look and the patent leather echos the silk sheen of the fabric. Natural hair and makeup add further polish to the look. Overall the ensemble feels transitional, the winding down of summer and preparing for a more autumnal based wardrobe.

Very relieved to see you're still commenting, wondered if your admin support duties might take you from among us!

Twee earrings like this seem to be the order of the day right now. Have been earring hunting on Etsy and becoming more used to the idea now, though wouldn't be a natural choice for me. Have acquired three sets of crawler earrings to try out inspired by Letizia and Meghan :)

Hi Bertie, they sound lovely! it's always exciting to take a little step out of your comfort zone. The crawler design is a great way of adding a touch of contemporary elegance. Letizia and Meghan have some wonderful pieces! I particularly love Meghan's super simple Birks gold bar earrings. I want to comment on here forever :o) Worst case scenario, if things get a little busy I'll just catch up at the weekend.

Hi Wendy, one of the reasons I'm so happy to help is I'm really excited about learning more about Letizia's work. I follow CasaReal twitter and am constantly impressed by how much they do. King Felipe seems to have multiple engagements most days.

Jennifer, haha, the budget doesn't quite stretch to Birks, but by looking through the various craftsfolk on Etsy I can try things out at bargain prices. Exciting to hear of your already established interest in Spanish royals, I think you are definitely a blogger in the making, I just hope we can keep you here :) Thank you for all you are doing, this is such a fun place to come for fashion.

Hi Bertie, I am going to have a look on Etsy, thanks for the tip! I mostly rotate between the same 'safe' bunch of studs, I could certainly do with a shake up! By chance I did happen to come across a great pair of replicas for the Birks bars for under £20.00. I was hunting for a difficult birthday present at the time and refused to be distracted until my mission was accomplished. Needless to say when I went back they had gone, but maybe I will have better luck on Etsy and the more affordable the better! This blog is the perfect escape :o)

Hi Jennifer, I tied out a tiny little pair of cubic shaped studs, thought they might just look a bit different from the dear old ball stud faithfuls. Have been surprised to discover that the many edges of the tiny box shape reflect light in such a way as to almost sparkle. They were a magnificent £8! I enjoyed looking through seller LandofFantasy, though my favourite pair from there weighed in at a princely £27! I was shy at first and looking for something cautious. At first I thought they looked near invisible but again noticed the light catches a hammered surface to give subtle sparkle. I'm wearing them everyday now! While thinking I needed something more bulky I got a long arrow shape pair from the same seller, about £15 -- my goodness is that where t he housekeeping went? And naturally having tired three in silver, there had to be one in gold, an interesting zig-zag, and had to slip in a little moon-and-star mismatch pair of studs for under £7. I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean to list such a shopping spree but hoped to share possibilities with you :)

Hi Bertie, thank you for sharing this seller!! I just had a very quick look and have already fallen for the large baroque fresh water peals, but I will have a more thorough look tonight as I'm supposed to be looking for studs! I loved hearing about your purchases! and how the clever designs you have chosen give the impression of sparkle. A joy to hear that you are enjoying them daily!

Burgos is in the North of the Country and a very chilly place, so long sleeves were needed. I once attended a wedding in June and it was 10C...frozen stiff....
I notice she wears this kind of dresses to dates about illness...interesting...

Jenny, good job!!, you also know about the nature of the engagements.

I only could help you with any translation to Spanish if it would be needed.....my English is not perfect though...

A dusty pink shoe for Wendy would be lovely. However, this colour could be very hard to find. If that is the case, then a navy shoe and clutch would be quite nice also.

Hi Wendy, I'm really excited for you! Did you say that the first communion was next year. If so, that leaves you with a good stretch of time to find accessories that you are really happy with. In store did they say that there had been lots of interest in the dress?

Yes, next year in May. They had the web collapsed for two days because of the amount of people and they have many purchases. In fact these dresses not available until November...they need to make them..., never in white it was only for Letizia so you can't copy her...😁

They say that it is what the designers want in the country...and there were also people who were there and finally bought another creation, because they will attend weddings in October, so they really needed something right now.

So we have the Letizia effect in action here? How exciting -- sounds like she must be popular in some quarters!

I like this dress with its vibrant blue and orange motif. The dark belt looks better than a previous light one, but I preferred the blue shoes.

Jennifer, to you and a few others who have offered to help Elizabeth, thank you for insuring the continuation of this most enjoyable blog.
