Europe's newly ascended queens sat side by side as they waited for proceedings to begin at the 69th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Queen Letizia and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands looked on as King Felipe addressed the assembly.
Following the opening ceremony of the General Debate, Their Majesties held a meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban ki-moon.
For today's proceedings, Queen Letizia wore a smart suit dress by her designer of choice, Felipe Varela. She debuted a monochromatic ensemble consisting of an off-white wool crepe jacket and black sheath dress. She styled the outfit with a new black leather chevron quilted envelope clutch also by Felipe Varela.
The 'Sobre Guareado' clutch is from Varela's Pre-Fall 2014 collection and retails for €475
