For this stately occasion, Her Majesty repeated a floral green Carolina Herrera dress she briefly wore on Day 1 of the State visit to Japan in April.

Queen Letizia accessorized the frock in the same way she did in Japan. She wore her interchangable Bounkit earrings featuring a square Amethyst stone and Green Jade drop.

Letizia goes hell for leather in the Library

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia attended the opening of the 'Scripta. Tesoros Manuscritos de la Universidad de Salamanca' exhibition today.

The exhibition at the National Library of Spain is part of the commemorations for the VIII Centenary of the University of Salamanca.  The University was founded in 1218 and is the oldest in Spain and the third oldest university in the world.

There was no prim librarian style from Letizia today, instead the Spanish queen opted for one of her more edgier looks. She teamed a white blouse with a black figure hugging leather pencil skirt. She first wore the skirt in February for the closing ceremony of the Telefónica Foundation research project, but unfortunately we have not been able to identify the brand/designer.

The blouse is a new addition to her closet which I found in the inventory of Hugo Boss. It's the BOSS 'Blusil' Stretch Silk Blouse (US$375).

The elegant blouse features a layered Mandarin collar detailed with covered buttons and shirring onlg the neckline. The long-sleeve style is cut from flowy stretch-silk georgette in a creamy, pink-tinged neutral hue.

She coordinated the black and white ensemble with a pair of two-tone onyx earrings from Spanish jeweller Coolook. She debuted the 'Luna' style (€333) featuring a black onyx stud with a white onyx teardrop stone and a contrasting pave trim.  The handmade earrings are set in rose-gold plated silver.
