King Felipe and Queen Letizia ended their working week in Santander, the capital city of the Cantabria region on Spain’s north coast.
Their Majesties were on hand to inaugurate the Botín Center, a new art center which aims to be one of Spain’s leading galleries and a lively welcoming place for people to learn and become inspired. It's also hoped it will be an engine for generating economic, social and cultural wealth for the region of Cantabria and northern Spain.
The royal couple then visited some of the exhibitions within the centre.
Queen Letizia was back in her seasonal favourite combination of red and white.
It has been her go-to palette since the start of Spring:
Today she teamed her deep red Carolina Herrera peplum leather jacket with white straight leg trousers.
On her feet Letizia wore her burgundy suede LODI ankle strap pump, and she contrasted the heels with her white Uterque croc-embossed clutch.
Letizia's beautiful up-do showcased her dazzling diamond and ruby drop earrings which she has worn on many occassion since their debut in 2013. The provenance of the earrings remains unknown.
The Spanish monarchs concluded their visit to Santander with a meeting of participants of the "Coworking Santander" Program.
