Today, Her Majesty the Queen attended the announcement of the Princess Girona Award winner in the category of Scientific Research. Queen Letizia attended on behalf of her eldest daughter, Leonor. The 9 year old royal heir is now the honorary president of the Princess Girona Foundation, a position her father, Felipe VI once held as Prince of Asturias. The name of the foundation was changed in December last year to reflect the title now held by Leonor, Princess of Asturias.
This award is intended to distinguish young scientists (including the humanities and social sciences), between the ages of 16 and 35 years, with leading projects or research that is entrepreneurial, innovative and has a high potential for future development.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia opted to recycle an understated professional ensemble, similar to the one she wore a couple months back at the Forum Against Cancer. The outfit consists of a black camel hair Hugo Boss 'FS_Jesila' blazer, paired with a white pleated neck blouse also by Hugo Boss.
The blouse dates back to July 2013 when Letizia first wore it to a military event:
The pants are most likely by Hugo Boss. They have an extensive range of women's grey trousers. I believe Letizia's may be one of these styles below.
She carried her Uterque black croc stamped leather wristlet clutch and on her feet were the Magrit black leather pointed-toe pumps.
She finished the outfit with her Links of London Hope Egg earrings. which are also favored by the Duchess of Cambridge.
Tomorrow, the King & Queen of Spain will do a joint engagement. They will deliver the "la Caixa" scholarships to 120 students selected for postgraduate studies at the best universities in the world.
