The King and Queen of Spain presided over the delivery of the Gold Medals of Merit in Fine Arts 2020 at the at the Baluarte Auditorium in Pamplona on Wednesday.
The awards recognize individuals and entities that have excelled in the creation, promotion or conservation of Spanish culture and art.
Queen Letizia brought back the fuchsia pink Moises Nieto fit-and-flare midi dress which she debuted last year for the Order of the Civil Merit ceremony.
She paired it with her Magrit 'Cara' knot-front clutch bag in bone leather, and the coordinating pumps.
Letizia completed the ensemble with her TOUS Ruby and Chrysoprase drop earrings.

Well this shocking pink certainly stands out. Personally I find it too intense of a colour. Although the neckline on the mannequin is symmetrical, on Letizia it appears to be asymmetrical, which looks lop sided. I think a darker shoe would have worked better, perhaps navy or black. I've never liked this clutch purse as there is just too much excess fabric. The earrings are stunning.

I thought maybe the shocking pink was by way of a stand-out-in-the-crowd regal thing. I'm relieved someone else is sounding a doubtful note about the dress though, I feel guilty criticising!

I love this look. The cut of the dress is classy and elegant, the colour prevents it from being borning. She is also a master at accessorizing. Never overdone but always adds to the look.

It's great to see this beautiful dress once again. The colour is vibrant the style is timeless and the design is perfectly tailored. Letizia looks divine.

This is a lovely dress, beautifully cut. The splash of fuchsia colour is welcome. A brooch, silk scarf, to change this up a bit. Something different from the last wear. A colourful pair of pumps, would also not be lost in the mix. The contrasting ruby and Chrysoprase drop earrings are divine and a start. The clutch bag I am not a fan of, large, too busy. Regardless of my thoughts the Queen looks fabulous.

Though this dress could use a scarf to break up all that pink, I love it! I love the color and it makes me want to sing, "Spring has arrived!" I didn't notice the asymmetrical neckline until you pointed it out, Laura. That is odd that Leti changed that because with her hair down you can hardly see it. And speaking of hair, Leti's hair looks fantastic!

I'm so used to seeing Letizia in tight-fitting dresses that I continue to be a bit phased by this one. It has an odd looseness as if wrongly cut for her. The elegant bracelet sleeves give some relief from the heaviness, but the waist line is pulled a little crooked and the skirt seems extra heavy and full. It's a gorgeous colour, and a fine dress, if filled out a bit more. As it is, the asymmetric neckline looks more like a mistake than a well-placed style feature. My apologies to the lovely Queen, who has more than filled her regal role thanks to Moises Nieto.
