Held at the at the Teatro Real in Madrid, the gala kicked off a series of events which will honor and make known one of Spain's great thinkers and humanists.

WHAT QUEEN LETIZIA WORE

DRESS: Emporio Armani Black Ruffle Side Dress (repeat).

HANDBAG: Bottega Veneta Intreccio Knot Clutch in black satin (repeat).

SHOES: Prada Saffiano black leather pumps with added platform (repeat).

EARRINGS: Diamond drop earring first seen in October 2019. Their provenance remains unknown.

Elegant, classic dress. The flounce or ruffle down the side adds interest. I'm always a fan of 3/4 length sleeves.

This is an absolute darling of an LBD by Armani and I welcome seeing it again. I love how the waterfall ruffle is fashioned from the pleating on the soft waistband. The side slit is refreshing to say the least, when Letizia is walking, though the picture we have of her seated shows that it might benefit from being a little reduced. Possibly more a cocktail evening length than front row at a serious music concert.

The Prada pumps are great and the Bottega Veneta clutch is perfect with its touch of contrast texture. The mysterious diamond drop earrings add just the right touch of bling to a sophisticated ensemble.

This is a stunning Armani evening dress, sophisticated, and the epitome of elegance. The side ruffle adds interest and a feminine touch, blends into the hemline, perfectly. The smoothness of the fabric, as it glides down over the body, masterful. The fit is perfect, love the length. The marvellous Prada, black leather pumps.
I have to confess, I do prefer the October 2018 outing of this outfit. Purely for the accessories and hair, the up do looked stylish. The choice of jewels, gorgeous diamond earrings and stacked diamond bracelets, elevated this outfit, brilliantly. Regardless the Queen looks fabulous.
P.S It is wonderful to see the King back on deck and well, great to see them out together.

This is gorgeous. Love the whole look. What a wonderful looking couple. I love that she walks with her arm in his. I give her credit, how does she walk so gracefully in those heels!

"Walk with her arm in his" is a Spanish tradition, even brides walk like that with her father and all ladies even in the street, I like to walk like that with my husband.
