Well!! We have a State Visit to USA in April!! So , I'm afraid, this is going to be a bit in "stand-by" until then.

Last time that Letizia wore this skirt she also wore a belt...which I think gave a more finished look. I do like the way the pattern on the skirt changes direction, but I don't like the points of the hemline. As I've said before, I think handkerchief skirts work better with a soft material, not with a thicker wool, which makes the points too pronounced.

It's back down to earth with a real bump in monochrome after the splendour of the family portraits. Clearly the outfit must work for Letizia since it's a complete repeat, even down to the earrings. It's a great working outfit with the soft black silk adding class to the blouse with its unusual styling on that banded V-neck opening minus buttons.

The Dutti skirt makes creative use of a grey check with the contrast-cut panels, and the asymmetric hem keeps it on-trend. That black bow belt remains as neat and perfect as ever. Letizia is as exemplary in her mid-week working style as when she puts on the b ling at the palace.

Bertie, Letizia wasn't wearing the belt this time, as shown in the 3rd photo down. The black bow belt was worn with the skirt last October, as shown in the 6th photo down. In my comment I said that I thought the belt gave a more finished look.

Thanks so much Laura, I realized my mistake too late! My concentration is in a state of collapse these days. Still, at least it underlines one thing, that outfit really needs that belt!

Another modern/edgy outfit. I am not a fan of this type of hemline, handkerchief theme, but this check skirt works well accompanied by this beautiful silk blouse. The slight subtle gather of fabric around the shoulders and sleeves adds character and interest. Takes the overall look of this ensemble up a notch. I prefer the choice of black shoes. The finished look is stylish and sleek. I love the addition of the dagger earrings, distinctive and delicate looking. Beautiful, smart look.

This re-wear isn't quite as finessed as last time, the missing waist belt really pulled the whole ensemble together. Separates look wonderful on the Queen and are relatable. The sumptuous blouse and glossy pumps neatly contrast the handkerchief check. However, I can't help wishing that Letizia would invest in a timeless, high-quality, A-line wool skirt, in a block neutral, camel/burgundy/teal... which can be re-styled season after season with an array of colours and styles. The accessories are sleek, but I would have preferred a different hairstyle and earrings to differentiate the outfit from 2019. Regardless of my quibbles, Letizia appears polished and elegant.
