The King and Queen of Spain continued their tour to all of the Autonomous Communities with a trip to Santiago de Compostela the capital of the Galicia region. The objective is to support the recovery of social, economic and citizen activity following the COVID-19 lockdown.

The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is the reputed burial place of the biblical apostle Saint James the Great, and the destination for those following the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. On the 25th of July, Galicia celebrates its national holiday, the date is dedicated to Saint James the Great, patron saint of both Spain and Galicia.
Their Majesties presided over the National Offering to the Apostle Santiago (Saint James the Great) at the monastery of San Martiño Pinario. The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is historically the epicentre of festivities but is currently undergoing restoration. The mass began with a reading of the Gospel, during the liturgy His Majesty presented the Offering to the Apostle Santiago. The Homily-response from Don Julián Barrio, the Archbishop of Santiago de Compostela then commenced.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia presided over the National Offering to the Apostle Santiago (Saint James the Great) at the monastery of San Martiño Pinario.
Once the mass had concluded King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia moved on foot to the Pazo de Raxoi, headquarters of the city council of Santiago de Compostela and the presidency of the Xunta de Galicia. They visited the mayor's office where they signed the city's Golden Book.

The dress is stunning, beautiful, gorgeous & absolute perfection. The green leaf print against the white or beige background is so amazing and the classic shirt style with the matching belt is fabulous. This is on my top 10 or maybe even top 5 of 2020 list!

Beautiful dress, just smitten. It's leafy print reminds me of the green Rochas Duchess Kate wore to the Chelsea Flower show, both seem to have the same sort of flow and swing. I very much approve of a buckle belt for a shirt dress in soft fabric, tie belts can end up looking like old string. This is a lovely take on the shirt dress style from Pedro del Hierro with its soft open neck and floppy sleeves. If they were smaller and neater they'd end up looking mean and their slightly fluted shape gives them the kind of definition often provided by a classic shirt cuff, and avoids them looking bare without that. Love the contrast accessories, the green reptile clutch and stylish CH slingbacks are both modern in a classic form just like the dress.

I agree, Sandra, this dress is beautiful on Letizia. It is also styled nicely for a visit to a church.

Oh, this is just divine, what a classic, elegant dress, the leaf print is exquisite. It looks beautiful on, with motion and movement, effortlessly perfect. The belt is gorgeous with smooth fabric coverage, flawless. The hemline is fabulous, so exciting to see no asymmetric hem on this dress, my personal preference only! The CH sling backs look immaculate combined with the beautiful reptile clutch, suffice to say I love this outfit.

I'm delighted to see the Queen in Pedro del Hierro. The brand offers a modern and sophisticated aesthetic, previous garments were timeless, fitted perfectly and the fabrics were of quality for a (high-end) high street label. Saturday's look was serene, the refined palette and clean lines embodied understated elegance. Oversized sleeves, a slim bodice and sweeping skirt made for a stylish silhouette. The print flowed beautifully over the soft sheen of the fabric. During motion, the skirt opened like a fan showcasing the motif to full effect. Subtle details elevate the shirt dress to a higher status, the enclosed front placket and the seam lines around the cuffs and hem, add definition to the fall of the fabric. My only criticism is that in some photographs the matching belt sits a little uncomfortably (where one side is pulled taut and the other is the relaxed end of the belt tail). Originally, I wondered whether a simple, patent leather medium width belt in cream to match the base colour would have been neater, but the matching fabric is seamless and the irregular shaped buckle provides interest.
