Today marked the confirmation of King Felipe and Queen Letizia’s eldest daughter, Princess Leonor, along with her classmates.
The 15-year-old royal was joined by her parents and her sister Infanta Sofia at the Parroquia de la Asunción de Nuestra Señora de Aravaca (Parish of the Assumption of Our Lady of Aravaca), which is the same church where the Spanish Princess made her First Communion back in 2015.

I was disappointed by how casually Letizia was dressed compared to her beautiful outfit at Leonor's communion. I love her shoes and the pants are a good fit, but I don't love this blouse.

The confirmation is a private thing in Spain, it is not as a first communion, not festivity.

This is a very stylish outfit, the Queen looks modern and sophisticated. The fabrics are of quality, the pieces fit perfectly, and the relaxed silhouettes flow and compliment one another beautifully. The soft straight cut trousers flatter Letizia's figure while balancing the dropped shoulders and asymmetric placket of the blouse. I imagine this is how Maksu envisioned their top being styled - not with the conservative charcoal maxi skirt worn earlier in the year 06/01/2021. Letizia's polka straight hair, skinny waist belt and gorgeous Nina Ricci arc clutch add refinement to the look. Minor quibbles, I wish Letizia had invested in the iconic Manolo Blahnik 'Maysale' mules, the cut is leaner and more elegant than the slingbacks seen above - but the Abdo's are significantly cheaper. Despite my appreciation for this ensemble, some colour may have been more cheerful for this family event.

I still don't know what to make of this blouse. It is of good quality, that is obvious, but style wise, I am on the fence about it. The pants on the other hand fit perfectly. This type of pants suit the Queen really well. The shoes are nice, but IMO not with this outfit.

I like the top. It's very edgy. But I agree with Darla that it's too casual for a religious ceremony. I may be old fashioned but I think people should still dress up for church. .

In Spain people go to church even in shorts and attends weddings in trousers. Furthemore, the country was declared as secular in 1978, very few people are religious. Actually almost nobody do the confirmation, I do not know anyone. Actually it is not a "ceremony", it is a normal mass.

Thanks Sara. Women wear trousers to weddings? That's sad. Where I live, I see people walking their dogs in pyjamas and nightgowns. What's next? I fear people will start going out in their underwear.

The delicious Maksu Fontana blouse is everything the IQ jumpsuit was not. Here are regal ruffles displayed in a timeless elegance without loss of style. There is something of a cape-like hint in the cross-over top held down with dark buttons.
