The King and Queen of Spain visited Fuendetodos on Monday to attend several events commemorating the 275th anniversary of Francisco de Goya’s birth.

Goya (1746-1828) was a Spanish romantic painter and printmaker. He is considered the most important Spanish artist of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, and throughout his long and successful career was a commentator and chronicler of his era.

Their Majesties visited the house of Goya's birthplace which houses the exhibition 'Sapristi! Tribute to Goya'. They continued to Ignacio Zuloaga Exhibition House, where they held a brief meeting with representatives of the Goya Foundation in Aragon and saw the exhibition 'Solana versus Goya. Mask and simulation', by José Gutiérrez Solana.  They later toured the 'Antonio Saura' Engraving Workshop and the Engraving Museum, where they explored rooms dedicated to Goya's four series of engravings, Los Caprichos, Los Desastres de la Guerra, La Tauromaquia and Los Disparates.
At the Fuendetodos Space, Their Majesties presided over the meeting of the Goya Foundation in Aragón and Goya Fuendetodos Cultural Consortium Board of Trustees. Filmmaker, Carlos Saura, presented the project 'Filmando a Goya'. Concluding their visit, they had a brief meeting with the attendees.

She brought back the white textured bell sleeve jacket which has been in her closet since 2008.

The designer of the piece has remained unknown, however I believe I may have finally solved the origin of the jacket!  In the photo below I can see the Burberry logo engraved on the black oversized buttons.  It feels so good to put this ID to rest!

UPDATE: @ModeMathilde tells me the jacket is available at Vestiaire Collective.

Letizia teamed her black & white Hugo Boss striped sweater with the unidentified black cropped tie-waist trousers she debuted recently for a visit to Toledo.

Amazing ID on the jacket!!

I wasn't sure whether to comment on this outfit, as I want to praise ensembles not criticise, so I apologise for my negativity. Sadly, this look feels like a random selection of items in monochrome, rather than pieces that flow and complement one another. In addition, King Felipe looks impeccable which further highlights the flaws of this outfit. All of the pieces appear to fit nicely and the fabrics are of quality, but the midi-trousers and oversized jacket create an unattractive silhouette. I've never liked this jacket with its overly fussy bell-sleeves, gathered back, large black buttons etc, details that look dated in 2021 (especially if you look at Burberry's recent collections). Whites are notoriously difficult to match, so in some photographs, the classic striped knit appears a dull off-white under the brilliant white of the jacket. I adore cropped trousers, but not these. The wide cut and midi length is that of an uninspired skirt. Lastly, the accessories fail to enhance the outfit and the new kitten heels are heavily influenced by the iconic Manolo Blahnik 'Maysale' mules first designed in 1991. Despite my criticisms, Letizia's innate elegance always shines through! and what a lovely day of events!

Basically I'm fine with this outfit. I would have preferred a tapered sleeve on the jacket, to eliminate the flounce. Also I'd prefer a longer, tapered pant. These two changes would give a crisper, more streamlined look to the classic black and white. I think there is a mistake in calling the shoes, mules. Mule is a style of shoe that has no back or constraint around the foot's heel. These are simply sling backs. I like them and prefer the slightly lower heel.

Letizia seems keen on channelling an artistic look with her Breton stripes. crop pants. and trendy flats. It makes for an charming outfit. How wonderful that you finally have the ID on the Burberry, it's so chic with its three-quarter bell sleeves.

The Hugo Boss stop is nicely styled with its scoop neck and the UFO crops are fun, though I don't really see why anyone would want a tie-belt on them, seems a distraction to me, and out of keeping with the style. Her Nina Ricci gold chain shoulder bag is just right and the suede mule slingbacks from Isabel Abdo are gorgeous. The look works well with a pony-tail.

I like this jacket, it is unusual in design, not something I would normally gravitate to. Checking on its outing in June 2018 I do prefer this jacket with the slim/pencil, skirt as worn previously.
I dont like cropped trousers and this for me combined with the jacket fails, that is my personal preference only, regardless the Queen looks very chic. A pair of slim pants would have changed the look of this outfit. The slingback shoes are lovely.

This is a cute and fun outfit. The unusual jacket with bell sleeves is a new look for Letizia. The striped sweater is classic and always in style. The cropped pants and shoes help keep the outfit comfortable and also stylish.
