Queen Letizia was back in conservative daywear, following two successive nights of glamorous outfits at awards events. Today she joined her husband King Felipe at the Royal Palace of Madrid to welcome the renowned Spanish writer Juan Goytisolo for a lunch in his honour. Today's lunch is the second literary engagement in less than 24 hours for Her Majesty, who last night attended the Children's Literary Awards wearing a chic and playful Mango jumpsuit.
Many of you will recognize the 1950's inspired outfit from the visit to Belgium in November 2014. It features a white Felipe Varela peplum wool jacket paired with a cornflower blue silk full-circle skirt.
Queen Letizia accessorized with the same cornflower blue suede pumps from Magrit and ocean blue clutch bag by Felipe Varela.
The highlight of today's look was the pearl drop earrings from TOUS. These are new to Letizia's jewelry collection and feature cultured freshwater pearls dangling from a fine diamond post set in 18K white gold.
Today's lunch was the traditional pre-ceremony meeting of the Cervantes Prize which is held on the eve of the awards presentation to take place at the University of Alcalá. Tomorrow, the King and Queen of Spain will deliver the award to Mr Goytisolo and grant him the highest recognition in Spanish and Latin American literature.
