"With this distinction, we make you a little more Andalusian than you already are by affinity and affection," he said.
This is the first time that this distinction has been granted in the region. The creation of the medal took place by decree of the president of the Junta de Andalucía and its award was agreed upon by the Governing Council on the 21st December 2020 .
Upon arrival, Their Majesties were met by an affectionate crowd. After the initial greetings, they unveiled a plaque commemorating the delivery of the Medal. Congratulations to King Felipe on receiving this Medal of Honour. I like the silhouette of Letizia's dress and the simplicity of its style. My only quibble is that in photos taken inside, this dress looks very washed out in colour It seems a bit more vibrant outside in the sunlight. I'll never understand the addition of the platforms to the shoes.

Queen Letizia is the epitome of elegance. I adore the refined minimalism of the sky blue dress, matching clutch, and leg-lengthening nude pumps. The tailored bodice fits beautifully before falling into a soft A-line skirt. Bejewelled buttons are positioned front and centre providing a hint of glamour to the serene look. Minor quibble, the Bvlgari hoops are stunning, but to differ the ensemble slightly from 2019, I would have preferred a different pair of diamond earrings. It pains me to say, that Letizia has ruined yet another pair of gorgeous shoes by adding a heavy platform. I'm now convinced that Manolo Blahnik didn't customise the black BB pumps with a rubber platform. It's likely that an independent retailer altered the Blahniks, Magrit studded snakeskin pumps worn last week and Pradas.

Do you think it is a "platform" or just she sent them to a place where they fix shoes ?? I do not know in English...a cobbler? , we try to fix them, there are lot of places to do it. They put a new sole.

Hi Simone, I've just got out a pair of my pumps that were resoled at the cobbler. The sole, including the original sole of the shoes is very discreet - approximately 3mm thick. I can only speak for my shoes. To me, Letizia's shoes do not look like they were resoled due to wear. If you look at the back view of the shoes above, you can see a hole cut out of the new soles which reveals how thick the new soles are. My impression is that the new soles look like platforms.

Such an effortlessly feminine and graceful dress for Letizia's Andalusia trip, the bodice fits well and the skirt simply glides out into a a very becoming fulness. The minimal decoration of two buttons on the belt is nicely judged, though the belt looks oddly loose in one of the pictures.

The platform may serve a practical purpose. Letizia wears very high heels regularly, which puts tremendous pressure on the ball of the foot. The shoes become much more comfortable with a thicker sole, and she doesn’t need to put insoles into the shoes.

What a totally gorgeous dress this is! Fabulous to see it worn again. The Queen looks smart and graceful. The powder blue clutch, really polishes this outfit off beautifully. Love the colour of the Prada pumps. The earrings are stunning.
