ABC is a daily newspaper - the third-largest general-interest newspaper in Spain and the oldest newspaper still operating in Madrid.  The publishing company convenes its three International Journalism Awards to recognise the career and the best journalistic works published by publishing companies in their media, in the categories of journalism, graphic journalism and drawing, throughout 2019.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia presented the prizes, a bronze statuette of the sculptor Onieva. King Felipe VI gave a speech of hope and thanked the press for their efforts during the harshest days of the pandemic. The act concluded with a dinner in honour of the winners.

She again teamed the cocktail dress with her black Bottega Veneta's 'Knot' clutch bag and Manolo Blahnik 'Gotrianc' Slingbacks 105 heels.

I loved this dress the first time the Queen wore it and the same now. A beautiful shade of red, which is definitely her colour. Very stylish and elegant cocktail dress. The cut, fit and length are spot on. The elegant dangle earrings are lovely, dainty and subtle, not too overwhelming. Fashion Flashback - the past choices were all lovely, but 2015 - simple, but so graceful and stylish. I loved this gown.

The Queen looked stunning in the sleek column of red. Ideally, I would have preferred that another year had been left before re-wearing this dress and that a less distinct repeat in her signature colour had been chosen. However, a possible lack of resources may have led to this choice, there may currently be no hairdresser, and Eva Fernández could still be on maternity leave, a fuss-free cocktail ensemble that she could confidently put together herself was a wise choice. The gorgeous accessories have previously proved successful and the modernity of the Roberto Torretta design doesn't require an intricate updo. Letizia most likely did her own hair for the event, the poker-straight style adds an effortlessness to the outfit while differentiating it from March 2019.
Special mention to the 2016 Nina Ricci ensemble, one of my most favourite outfits of the Queen's ever! The metallic sequined stripes on the semi-sheer fabric (there was a fitted slip dress worn underneath) was daring and bold. I adored the unusual mix of colours which ranged from neon green to bronze, along with the cutouts at the elbows and back, it was a captivating piece. Letizia pushed the drama further with the sleeked back hair and heavy navy eye makeup while still remaining utterly chic, she looked incredible! I still wish that we had seen more NR when Guillaume Henry was Creative Director. I hope that she has a few pieces stored away from past collections that we haven't yet seen, like the beautiful mint green dress worn in Cuba last year, which was an older style from GH's tenure.

In Spain the hairdressers openened on the 4th of May, it was the first things that started and nobody has had a contagion in any of them as you need to wear a mask, sanitizer, and 1,5 metres distance.
She is triying to be respecful with the situation of the country, she is doing what everybody else would do, it is not a time for frugality.

Hi Wendy and Simone, Thanks for your feedback :o) Apologies, if I worded my original comment badly and have given the wrong impression. For events such as this, I doubt the Queen goes to the hairdressers, I would imagine that a hairstylist comes to the house, pre COVID-19 and now. If Letizia were having her hair cut or coloured I assume she would visit the hairdressers. As I said, it was wise for Letizia to select a repeat that she could easily style herself, without the aid of a hairstylist and Eva Fernández, like most other women. Guillaume Henry was Creative Director of Nina Ricci between 2015-18, any unseen pieces by him would have had to have been purchased several years ago, 2020 would not be the year to debut them. I am in full support of repeats and frugality.

Hi Sandy, I'm so pleased you loved the 2016 outfit too!! NR and Queen Letizia were a match made in fashion heaven.

Jennifer, you do not need to apology, I only wanted to describe the situation.
Do you remember that I bought a dress by Lola Li? I have not been able to wear it for the first time as first communions were cancelled in May....snif...

Hi Wendy, the Lola Li dress will never date, it's utterly timeless. I hope the First Communions can go ahead next year and that you are able to wear it :o)

It is not a time for dresses, at least in Spain, we still have a lot of restrictions and some business are not open yet. There are no places to wear dresses nowadays as gatherings ate not allowed, weddings , first communions, all traditional "fiestas" have been cancelled this year. The beaches are only allowed for some people every time, many pools are closed .The "new normal" is not "normal" at all..she must be cautios, and respecful with her people.

Jennifer, I'm glad you mentioned 2016's outfit. That is one of my all time favorite looks as well. It really was a stunning, well put together outfit from head to toe. The vertical stripes and colour combination looked great.

Just delighted to see Letizia in this gorgeous dress again, and repeat accessories apart from the earrings, the switch there is just as good as the rest!

This dress is one of my all-time favourites in her wardrobe so I am delighted to see it again. I enjoy how the dress retains the sleek line with the modern bow, which reminds me of origami.

I dislike the shoes in general so it's not a question of their suitability. A black sandal without plastic would've been fine but I would like to see this dress with metallic or snakeskin shoes.
