The Queen of Spain chaired a working meeting with the Fundación Telefónica Management Committee at their Headquarters in Madrid.
Her Majesty was informed of the work carried out by the entity through its four areas of activity: employability, education, digital culture and volunteering. In addition, the committee described the initiatives undertaken during the pandemic to help society and of the commitment to continue doing so in the 2021 strategic plan.
For over 20 years Fundación Telefónica has been working to be a catalyst for social inclusion in the digital age and contribute to creating a more just and supportive world. It trusts in the capabilities of new technologies to improve people's lives and reinforces its commitment to society so that no one is excluded from the benefits of progress.
Earlier in January, 'Storm Filomena' brought record-breaking snowfall and freezing temperatures to Spain. The government has since declared eight regions, including the capital Madrid as disaster zones. Queen Letizia's engagements last week were therefore postponed.

I still feel the same way about this dress, as I did last February. I dislike the neckline. I do like more pronounced, asymmetrical necklines, but this one is so slight, it looks like a mistake in the production of the garment. The belt and boots really compliment the style of the dress. I wish Letiizia had worn a bit of jewellery to soften the severe look. A brooch or large, linked chain necklace would have added so much.

I think you're right, a touch of jewellery might have helped soften the severity. Letizia has certainly gone for a full-on serious professional look here.

I like the navy/ black combination and the mix of textures of ribbed knit, wool and suede. It looks sleek and cosy for the cold winter temperatures! My only suggestion would be to wear a more tailored coat as I think the cape hemline clashes with the midi length of the skirt.

Letizia looks as chic as ever in dark monochrome, and I love the swishy Hugo Boss cape over the slim-fit COS dress. The ribbed wool sheath continues to suit Letizia perfectly, and I'm in favour of her retaining the subtle drama of the Burberry ruffle belt and the dashing Madden over-the-knee boots. I also still love the subtle asymmetric neckline along with the fluted cuffs.

This ensemble was sensational in 2020. The one downside of a perfect look is that a repeat can appear lacklustre in contrast if the styling isn't as strong. Looking back at February's post the poker-straight hair, heavy side parting and stunning Bvlgari earrings elevated the outfit, Thursday's re-wear feels flat by comparison. Understandably, the Queen is erring on the side of caution regarding jewellery but a pair of inexpensive, chunky, mid-sized, silver hoops would have lifted the black and navy palette. In addition, a contemporary silver cuff or bangle (which would only be seen when seated) would have added interest to the clean lines.

Hello, are you convinced her boots are Steve Madden? I was wondering if perhaps she is wearing the Magrit Francesca boots? Just a thought. https://www.magrit.es/en/francesca-74

We initially thought they were by Magrit but the sole on Letizia's boots appear to be rubber rather than leather. Here's a better photo: https://www.queenletiziastyle.com/blog/queen-letizia-chairs-viii-forum-against-cancer

Too much one note for me. I agree with Laura that a brooch or necklace would have added so much.

There couldn't have been anything more that was black!! I agree that some jewelry might have lightened the solemn nature of this outfit.

The 2020 outing of this ensemble was superb, different climate - world events I fully understand this understated look. The Queen looks great, I love this dark navy dress and black cape. I quite like this stylish coat combined with the slim fitting dress. The over the knee boots, perfect finishing touch. The silhouette of this dress outlines the Queen's perfect posture.

It's seems like we have not seen Letizia in quite some time. I'm happy to see her looking well. I think the pandemic is taking a toll in Spain & the world. That could be why she chose such a sombre outfit. It looks like she is in mourning for these dark times and she didn't want to stand out. However, I'm a cape lover and the HB design is classic especially with the pearl or white button closure at the neck. It looks warm and beautiful at the same time.
