The Queen of Spain received two audiences today at the Palace of La Zarzuela in Madrid.
She first met the Board of Directors of the Association 'Women in a Legal World' (WLW) whose members are professional women from the legal sector who wish to transform the environment in which they operate, creating conditions that allow all professionals to have equal opportunities to excel and achieve success in their careers.
Queen Letizia later received a working group who have launched a chair for the promotion of women in STEM vocations (an acronym in English for science, technology, engineering and mathematics). The promoters of this initiative highlighted that while more than half of university students are women, less than 26% study STEM degrees. One of the main aims is to investigate the causes of low participation of women in studies related to STEM areas. Including the promotion of the cultural and social change necessary to encourage the incorporation of women in STEM degrees.

This is a lovely color combination and something I'm keen to try! I don't like the flap chest pockets on this new blouse. I preferred the silk shirt she wore the first time with the skirt.

I adore loose-fitting silk blouses. Sadly, the Queen's isn't flattering. I have had a quick look online at silk blouses with pockets. For me, the most successful in design are those where the pockets are placed above the bust. Letizia's pockets start halfway down her bust. I believe that the pockets may have imitation flaps, it looks like the fabric has been folded over thus creating a gaping effect when seated. For the most streamlined results, the pockets should lay as flatly as possible against the body. Generally, I find that loose-fitting silk blouses drape beautifully when they are styled with low waisted bottoms, particularly if the blouse has surface detail. The high waisted pencil skirt is gorgeous, I am genuinely surprised that we haven't seen it repeated before now. I hope that it is re-worn in the not too distant future with a complimentary top, pairing it with a colour other than navy would also make a refreshing change.

Agree with everything you say, Jennifer, especially what you and Milly state about the flaps on the blouse. Pity that they are so distracting from an otherwise wonderful outfit.

Letizia looks great from head to toe in this perfect outfit. This is the type of tailored/ fitted style that suits her best. Love the heart shaped detail at the front/top of the shoe.

To me, this is the perfect skirt. Clear cut, straight hemline, beautiful tailoring and fit. Pale blue of colour, stunning Its a simple, but elegant outfit. Subtle side split, on movement, sitting or standing, perfect. The belted waist is fabulous. The navy silk shirt is lovely, but without the pockets, personal preference only. Gorgeous, Magrit navy suede pumps, I love the detail of them. A very polished look.

Hi Ava, that's a great observation! The form of the skirt is unchanging whether Letizia is standing, in motion or seated, it's perfect. The icy blue, clean-cut and straight hemline are a breath of fresh air!

That HB pencil skirt is just heavenly on Letizia with her slim frame, the length is so flattering and a great help when she is seated. I like it matched with the dark navy blouse, and though this one is pretty, I find it a shade too baggy with such a well-crafted skirt. Dark courts continue to look best with the outfit, and the cheeky Magrit with their sweetheart cut at the front add a quiet touch of elan.
