Queen Letizia looks trendy in Uterqüe for the International Seminar on Language & Journalism

The Queen of Spain attended the closing of the XV 'International Seminar on Language and Journalism', under the title 'Scientific hoaxes: journalism and language as defence weapons', at the Monasterio de Yuso, San Millán de la Cogolla (La Rioja).

The San Millán de la Cogolla Foundation (FSMC) and the FundéuRAE bring together scientists, journalists, linguists and disseminators on October 5th-6th to debate the challenges the pandemic has posed for the media. Including, the importance of language to rigorously explain specialised topics, and bringing science closer to the general public, as a defence weapon against misinformation.

A snappy outfit from Letizia in a possible nod to a profession that sometimes sails close to the edge. The Uterque jacket still looks great, the bold check somehow managing not to overwhelm this wearer, and the fit slim enough to allow extra length to remain manageable and not clumsily oversize.

The leather leggings, also Uterque, are a sensational complement, and make a great contrast in both colour and texture. The Herrera stilettos add the perfect touch for a vampish undertone, perhaps in keeping those hacks who have to dip their toes in some grubby places to come up with the best stories.

If Letizia wants a leather legging look I wish she would invest in a pair that doesn't bunch up around the knees. They would look so much better if they were smooth rather than messy. It detracts from the very beautiful blazer.

Its great to see a repeat of this fabulous houndstooth jacket. Its beautifully tailored, it fits amazingly well and doesn't overwhelm her. I would so like a jacket like this in my wardrobe! I am not a fan of these leggings, I loved the black slim-fit cropped trousers the Queen wore in 2019, combined with the turtleneck sweater the outfit looked sensational. Regardless of my personal thoughts, the Queen looks marvellous. The double dagger earrings are always a bonus to see.

I like the jacket, that makes a bold statement. However, I dislike the pants. They are so tight that they bunch up and wrinkle...not a good look.
