The King and Queen of Spain presided over the delivery of the Heraldo Awards, in an act that also serves to commemorate the 125-year history of regional daily newspaper Heraldo de Aragón, at Villanueva de Gállego, Zaragoza.

As it is a monumental anniversary, the newspaper has created the Extraordinary Prize 'Heraldo 125 Aniversario', which was awarded to Their Majesties. This concession has sought to distinguish the remarkable work carried out by the Crown over the last 45 years in the consolidation of democracy and its values.

This is a great look. The colour is vibrant and the buttons and sliver belt add pizzazz to the dress. I really like the matching shoes and purse and the choice of earrings. Doesn't the other woman in the 3rd photo have a unique outfit?

This ensemble looked outstanding in 2019, it was one of my favourite looks of the year. For me, what sold the outfit was the Queen's heavy side parting and chic ponytail.

The set didn't shine as brightly in 2018. I found the Queen's loose hairstyle too natural against the sleek silhouette of the dress. Sadly, Wednesday's hairstyle is reminiscent of 2018 which makes for a less polished look. I had hoped that we would see this ensemble repeated with a neat French twist hairstyle to echo the retro detailing of the dress. Individually, the pieces are delicious and it's a breath of fresh air to see a bold look of quality.

Hello all, this is my first comment after quite a time reading Elizabeth's wonderful posts on the Queen's wardrobe and amazing commenters. I love this Michael Kors look. I miss Letizia wearing her old, trademark fitting dresses, she used to totally own that crisp and contemporary look and this is the closest I've got lately. IMHO, her current floral, midi looks don't come close. The vibrant color just add interest and the silver belt and big hoop earrings and even the gray wicks in her hair make for an overall uber chic look. I hope for much more of this.

I agree, Ana. Letizia looks best in the form fitting, shorter dresses and skirts she used to wear a few years back.

I love the cantaloupe/melon colour of this dress. It's making it's third appearance but I'm still waiting to see the Nina Ricci soft mint silk dress Letizia wore on Nov. 11/2019. I'm hoping an appropriate occasion will arise. It was a stunning dress.

That Nina Ricci dress was on my top 5 looks of 2019 as well, Sandy. Also crossing fingers for a rewearing soon!

Hooray! This dress has long been a favorite of mine. I think these bright colors; fuchsia, red really suit QL. I admire her commitment to tonal dressing with all matching accessories. I might have to give it a try myself!

Love seeing Letizia look elegant and svelte again in this lovely tailored Kors with repeat Magrit accessories. A welcome relief from summery ruffles and lace.

This dress fits Queen Letizia so well, you would think she had been sewn into it. It is a fantastic colour and I am pleased she has continued with the same accessories from previous occasions. The pop of pink from her shoes to her bag give this outfit a 'wow' factor. I hope we see this lovely dress again.

This is a beautiful dress, lovely to see her wear again. The colour is fabulous, combined with the Magrit set, stunning. Perfect finishing touch the large pave diamond earrings, divine.

As it seems her hair stilists (Gema Campos for everyday and Luz Valero for more difficult things) are not attending Zarzuela, Letizia has been doing herself since the lockdow, you can notice ever her white hairs and her hair is longer, she needs a haircut, but she is worried about other things, and she has become more loved than before. In Spain people do not want a clothes horse, for that you have the models.
Felipe's sisters were never worried about fashion and were very loved, as the Emperor Felipe II used to say "austerity and blend with the people", in Spain the monarchy used to wear always black clothes, this nonsense about fashion only ruins a country. Queen Sofia has always worn a jacket and a skirt, she does not need anything else, a country can't be paying for this nonsense, we had a Republic, the Monarchy is there only in the case it is not too much expensive, that is the deal.
And in any case she must wear Spanish brands and what the people wear in Spain, not in other countries the Spaniards do not know. In Spain people do not wear Michael Korss. They are diplomatic and ambassadors of Spain, not from other countries. There are plenty of Spanish brands that would be thrilled of being known, or traditional dresses of every region, thing Queen Sofia used to do and in the Scandinavians countries, too, where they wear Natan a lot, or H&M ( Victoria of Sweden wear horrid flowery dresses by this brand constantly) even if it is not very flatering .By the way, this dress could have been made by my sister who can sew, it has nothing and the colour is like a chew, it looks like she is going to a wedding, not to work, and very expensive, she is working, we do not want spongers showing clothes out and about and I reckon, I speak for most Spaniards, we do not need a King, they are there only because Juan Carlos brought back the democracy, but his father was never a king and her grandfather was sent to the exile, actually Juan Carlos grew up in the exile in Portugal.
In France, Italy, Portugal...our neighbours, they have Republics, even Germany ..these ones are the countries we most like..
In Germany they have a fantastic government who is dealing with this pandemic as nobody in the world and Angela Merkel lives in a flat and do not wear clothes....that is an example. Here the King has not any power , by the way...
