Everything the Queen owns from Nina Ricci I adore, this coat is no exception with the understated woven fabric and bracelet sleeves. Sadly, this ensemble doesn't quite work for me, with a few minor tweaks it could have been superb while remaining consciously restrained. I feel that the coat is deserving of stronger styling, therefore, I would have paired the trousers and coat with either a white silk shirt or a fitted black turtle neck, the Hugo Boss patent pumps (01/10/20) and the dainty Tous pearl drop earrings. Or, if I was to keep the knit, trousers and loafers I would have added a crisp stone trench coat, a tote handbag, and a muted silk scarf (Letizia walked into the building holding a black scarf). 2015's Paris ensemble (as seen above) is one of my favourite looks of the Queen's. The fit was perfect, the lines clean, and the contrast between texture and colour outstanding! In addition, the styling was faultless, the sleek accessories and chic bob made for an outfit oozing in modern elegance.

I agree the 2015 look with this coat was outstanding. Letizia looks like a model in the photo.

Hi Laura, I thought the Pairs tour wardrobe was exceptional (from 02/06/15). There were seven outfits, no gowns, just strong day and cocktail wear. The Nina Ricci ensemble surpassed my dreams!

Actually she owns a fitted white turtle neck by Hugo Boss:

Or this one would have been in my opinion, for both the last outfit and this one:

The Nina Ricci coat is so chic, the black and white texture is fascinating and original. With the three-quarter sleeves it looks as if it could have had a shorter hem overall, but the comparative photo with the French outing demonstrates the versatility of the piece, from social daywear to workmanlike business savvy. It looks great with slim leg pants and Hugo Boss flats, as well as all black layers. It's also interesting to see how much Letizia's hair has grown in lockdown.

There is not lockdown in Spain, all is open, there are restrictions and curfews but most people need to go to work as she does. Actually people in Spain wonder about her hair and gray hairs.

Why are people wondering about her grey hairs? Is it really that shocking for a woman in her mid 40's to have grey hairs!! When will the misogynistic media stop setting expectations for woman. I for one love that Letizia is not fazed to show her greys.

In Spain is not "normal" I mean, common, people showing their gray hairs, There are lots of hairdressers and even lots of men dye their hair. It is not about "women" only, actually Felipe used to dye his hair until the pandemic.

Actually is not the media, if not normal people, even when the lockdown past year, people managed to dye their hair with supermarket things. It was a top-selling. I do not know your country, but in France, Italy, Spain everybody dyes the hair unless it was totally white
which tends to be yellow, so you need more care actually. It is not so easy, if not someone looks untidy. It needs a purple treatment. So it is mot "only" about "showing" gray hairs.
Hair and shoes are very important for appearence.

Simone, I don't think I've ever seen one photo of King Felipe with dyed hair. Anyway, all I'm questioning is why are people so fixated if a woman hasn't dyed her hair. It's not a cultural thing, it's simply ageist and misogynistic.

Felipe has been dying his hair for ages, he is 53...actually it has been critizised too...he looks like my grandpa all of a sudden.

It is a cultural thing, as it seems, as I said everybody dyes their hair, even the politics. Do you think that Macron , French President has not any gray hair?? Lol..or Giusseppe Conte??...Italian Prime Minister??.. or the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez?...all men!!

Even my husband...another thing is the lack of hair..

People are fixated because it is a cultural thing , indeed, as it seems. Everybody has the hair dyed over 18-20, even without gray hairs. All men I know (with hair..lol..) try to dye.
As wrinkles, most people use creams or treatments, hair removal ( men removal all their hair too..). People try to be better, that's all.
I do not know what kind of men you know.

Thanks for the update, Simone. Maybe Letizia is just letting her hair go longer and more grey in keeping with all those who suffer during pandemic. She might look less extravagant this way.

It's great to see a golden oldie from the past. This coat is so versatile.
It looked great in 2015 paired with a more formal suit and it's looks just as great paired with a more casual ensemble in 2021. That is the hallmark of a classic item of clothing. It can stand the test of time and be worn with almost anything.

This Nina Ricci coat is so voguish, a great adaptable coat. I love it. The pairing of this coat in 2015 was simply superb, impeccably combined, it ticked all the boxes and was a favourite for me. As a casual ensemble it is equally lovely, but I am not a fan of this combination worn on this occasion. Regardless of my tastes, the Queen looks great. Lovely to see the Double dagger earrings again.

Letizia looks uber chic and I love how she took a haute couture coat and made it work for an everyday ensemble. I want to replicate this look from top to toe!

This is an incredibly versatile coat and I like Letizia's look today. However, I would like to see a punch of colour. The coat looks so good with red, as shown in 2015. A red scarf, or red shoes, or red purse would have elevated this outfit.
