The Queen of Spain presented the 43rd edition of the SM 'El Barco de Vapor' and 'Gran Angular' 2021 Awards for the best book of children's and young people's literature, at America House, Madrid.
In 1978 the SM Foundation created 'El Barco de Vapor' and 'Gran Angular' awards to support authors and illustrators, and to promote the creation of literature for children and young people that encourages reading and that transmits, with literary quality, human, social, cultural or religious values that help to build a dignified world.
Her Majesty presented SM 'El Barco de Vapor' award to Beatriz Osés for 'Un bosque en el aire' and the 'Gran Angular' to Chiki Fabregat for 'El cofre de Nadie', who were endowed with 35,000 euros each. After the award ceremony Queen Letizia congratulated the winners as authors of “two stories with nothing in common, in appearance, but with great harmony in their values: diversity, the search for identity, the certainty that we live in a community and we all count, the importance of affection, oral tradition, the non-negotiable need to value and take care of natural environments and the debt of respect and affection that we have with our elders”.

Every time I see this dress, I have the same impression. The colour is vibrant and looks good on Letizia. The print is unique, but the placement of the pattern is odd from the waist down. To me it looks like a giant frown. This dress could be exotic and interesting, if only the skirt part could have been executed better. I hope after four public wearings this dress gets retired. I won't miss it.

I love the colors of this dress! (I saw a contestant that conveniently matched her hair to the dress!). I just don't like the pattern curving down in the front. It pulls your eyes away from the face and down to the ground!

Laura, I agree your comment. I really like the bodice of this dress. It would make a great body suit or blouse paired with a good pair of pants.

This is a very pretty color on her. I like the pattern on some of the dress, but something seems off around the middle. Like it wasn’t sewn together correctly. I think if it was put together in a more flowing pattern, it would look pretty.

I liked this dress the first time I saw it. The vibrant colour and unusual print was very becoming. This time not so sure. The hemline is a bit off to me. Looking at 2nd last picture. The best outing for me was December 2018, the skirt sat well.

Letizia's hair is really long now. I am not sure, I can't really see well, is this her natural hair color now? Did she stop covering the grays?

Up to now I've failed to appreciate this Sandro dress as I've been unable to handle what seemed to me the droopy effect of the pattern arranged in a distracting U-shape. I must be having a perverse day today as I now feel it's giving me Mughal vibes. I've always like the basic print and think the colour is marvellous on Letizia. I like the shape of the dress and the fun knife pleats. All black accessories might be a touch heavy but serviceable, and I hope we don't see nude espadrilles with it again.
