Following their arrival into Mexico last night, there were no signs of jet-lag from the Spanish King and Queen as they embarked on a full day of engagements. The day commenced with a memorial ceremony at Los Ninos Heroes (Heroic Children) monument.
This was followed by an official welcome ceremony hosted by the President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto and the First Lady, Angelica Riveraat.
After the ceremony at Campo Marte, Their Majesties moved to the city center to meet the major of Mexico City, Miguel Angel Mancera. Mr Mancera named them Distinguished Guests and presented Letizia with a medal of distinction and King Felipe with the keys to the city.
For this morning's engagements, Queen Letizia donned a Felipe Varela ensemble consisting of a mint green sheath dress and tweed jacket with matching green trim. The dress was originally worn to Princess Leonor's First Communion but the jacket is new.
The style of the bespoke jacket is based on this ready-to-wear piece from the Varela Summer 2015 collection.
Queen Letizia accessorized with her trusty blush pink patent clutch and a new pair of matching cross-strap sandals from Magrit.
Letizia's new TOUS Ruby and Emerald earrings coordinated perfectly with her outfit.

At midday, the royal couple visited the Los Pinos presidential palace, where they were the guests of honor at a luncheon hosted by President Peña Nieto and the First Lady.
Queen Letizia made a wardrobe change for the occasion and donned an outfit she debuted earlier this month on her arrival into France. (shown below). It consists of a Felipe Varela ecru silk two-piece set, Felipe Varela 'Cartera Londres' clutch, snakeskin pumps, and Folli Follie 'Elements' rose gold double crystal drop earrings.

That evening, the Mexican president and his wife offered dinner at the National Palace in honour of their Spanish guests.
Queen Letizia looked ravishing in red, premiering a Felipe Varela asymmetrical cocktail dress. The haute couture dress is made from guipure lace and detailed with tonal Swarovski crystals.
She softened the red hue with a coral satin and python flap clutch, also by Felipe Varela, and Magrit's 'Beatriz' nude patent peep-toe heels (€260).
Complimenting Letizia's dazzling style were a pair of diamond and white gold tear drop dangle earrings, first seen on her recent trip to Honduras. They remain unidentified.

if you look on the dress Letizia communion with Leonor and events in Mexico, they are still different, they have different cut-outs on the chest. I'd love to have a picture pinned, but I do not know if this is possible
