The King and Queen of Spain met with representatives from the fields of technological and social innovation who expressed their ideas for the future, and the role of innovation to improve the recovery of Spain after the COVID-19 pandemic at the Palace of Zarzuela.
Their Majesties first met with seven 'founders of start-ups' related to the South Summit initiative. South Summit is the Leading Innovation Global Platform focused on business opportunities and disruptive trends. The group stressed the importance of finding new paths through emerging entrepreneurs for the present and future of Spain.
The second meeting was held with seven young entrepreneurs from Ashoka España, which identifies, connects, and accompanies the leaders of social innovation who solve problems effectively and systemically. They discussed social innovation and their response to the challenges caused by the pandemic.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia emphasised the important role they currently play and thanked them for the values of cohesion, equality, and solidarity.
Queen Letizia wore her CH Carolina Herrera black polka dot cache-cœur dress which she debuted earlier this year for an audience with the Men's National Handball Team.
She teamed it with her black Carolina Herrera sling-back pumps, and accessorized with the bezel set diamond stud earrings which form part of Letizia's Australian pearl earrings.

QL is looking serene and comfortable in this polka-dot number. Maybe a slow transition into normality as Spain comes out of lockdown?

Very nice look. So wonderful to see a dress and sling back shoes! Very professional and queenly.

You're right about those sling-backs, a definite whiff of party-time after all the sober flats-and-pants Letizia has been sticking to!

Such a breath of fresh air to see Letizia full-length in a dress and this Herrera is so pretty I almost forget to notice that she has skilfully managed to stick to her Covid-aware monochrome. Glad to see Spain making progress in exiting lockdown.
