Her Majesty held a video conference with representatives from the Fundación Secretariado Gitano FSG (Gypsy Secretariat Foundation), which coincided with International Roma Day 2020.

Queen Letizia was informed of the problems Roma Women are experiencing, who are among the most vulnerable groups during the COVID-19 pandemic. 86% of the Roma population lives below the poverty line, with 46% in extreme poverty, the social stigma only increases their exclusion. Roma Women face the challenge of accessing information, making it difficult to participate in compliance and prevention. Most Roma Women do not have the educational level to support homeschooling and school canteens are no longer able to provide children with a full meal. Confinement is aggravating gender violence and accessing legal or psychological support is problematic. The FSG is providing emergency support, guaranteeing the delivery of basic essentials such as food, medicine, and hygiene products.
Their Majesties held a video conference with officials from the World Health Organization (WHO), to be informed of the latest actions being taken against the pandemic.
Queen Letizia wore her Hugo Boss 'Jalorra' Glen Check Double Breasted Wool Jacket which she debuted earlier this year at a Spanish Red Cross conference.
