The King and Queen of Spain accompanied by their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, presided over the National Offering to the Apostle Santiago, Patron Saint of Spain, at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
Santiago or Saint James, in English, is the Patron Saint of Spain. The annual Feast of Saint James the Great (Dia de Santiago) takes place in Santiago de Compostela on 25th July and is a public holiday in Galicia. This year the Holy Year, also called Jacobean Year or Ano Xacobeo, occurs when the feast day of Saint James, falls on a Sunday 25th of July. This happens every 5, 6 or 11 years.
Santiago de Compostela is the capital of the autonomous community of Galicia, in northwestern Spain. The city has its origin in the shrine of Saint James the Great, now the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, as the destination of the Way of Saint James, a leading Catholic pilgrimage route since the 9th century.

This is a very pretty, summery look. I like the pink accessories and the earrings. I'm not sure how she walks on that uneven ground in those heels, though! The girls look very nice and appropriate. They're getting tall like Dad!

Another great CH dress. It's so feminine with a lovely floral print. The style is exquisite and the pink accessories especially the earrings are a perfect compliment. I don't like the ties around the cuffs as they appear a bit juvenile. But the outfit is still fabulous.

I really like the stylised floral print on this Herrera dess and its princessy touches of frilled cuff and float-away skirt seem quite in keeping with a church-going context. The A-line silhouette fatters Letizia as always, though it feels unusual to see a shorter on-the-knee hem. I love how Leonor and Sofia have picked out print colours for their own dresses.

Ha ha, thank you for including the video. I really wanted to see the Botafumeiro in action! (5:45 onward) This is a lovely dress but I am actually really excited about the girls' dresses. From the video I could see the interesting pattern on the side of the sleeves of the pink dress and the pleats in the aqua dress are so crisp and fresh. I would like to wear both of their dresses. My one concern is for those kitten heels on Princess Leonore (I hope I haven't mixed them up, the one with the pink dress). They look a bit unstable to me and sure enough, when she was walking, I thought I saw her ankles wobble. I personally appreciate when those in the public eye normalize wearing flats with dress clothes so I'm cheering for the flat dress shoes with the aqua dress.

This is a lovely feminine creation. The floral print is really quite lovely. I love the ties at the cuffs, beautiful touch. The pink Herrera accessories are fabulous. Two tone earrings are a perfect finishing touch. The girls looked suitably groomed, lovely and as always, perfect in there attendance, I admire them greatly.

This is another gorgeous creation from the Carolina Herrera 2018 Resort Collection. I still remember its debut in 2017, the Queen looked faultless with a bouncy blow-dry and that fabulous encrusted ring. What I admire most about the dress is the lining, it's been beautifully executed. There are no spaghetti straps, the bodice line neatly curves towards the armhole seams leaving the chest area clean. My only quibble is that the skirt would look more elegant if it were two inches longer and fell just below the knee. Despite my strong dislike for branding, the accessories complement the dress perfectly. The slingbacks provide a lightness that traditional pumps don't.

Thanks for pointing out the elegant production of the lining. Of course the shoulder seams look a bit like straps given the working of seams in flimsy organza.
