The King and Queen of Spain are currently in the midst of their three-day State Visit to Denmark. On the second day, they commenced their activities at the Kastellet, where they were joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary to lay a wreath in tribute to soldiers who had lost their lives.

From the citadel, the royals moved to Copenhagen City Hall, where they were joined by Queen Margrethe II for a reception.
Following that, they toured the University of Copenhagen, examining a collection of Spanish documents and engaging with Spanish academics and researchers from various Danish universities.
In the afternoon, Crown Princess Mary and Queen Letizia paid a visit to Rigshospitalet, where they had the opportunity to see the ongoing construction of the Mary Elisabeth Hospital, a new world-class children's hospital in Denmark named in honour of the Crown Princess.
