King & Queen of Spain attend FITUR 2023

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the inauguration of the 2023 edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid on Wednesday.

FITUR is an annual event for tourism professionals from around the world and is the main trade fair in Latin America. The five day event at IFEMA Recinto Ferial (fairgrounds) will bring together thousands of tourism companies from over 100 countries. This year, the Republic of Guatemala is the guest country of the FITUR 2023 edition.

Their Majesties were joined by the President of the Guatemala, Alejandro Giammmattei as they toured the halls and met with some of the exhibitors of the fair.

I like the lace collar of this top but it should have extended to cover the entire V shaped neckline. For some strange reason the placement stops short. The slim leg pants are fine and the boots are a nice change from Letizia's usual high heels.

I really dislike the white poplin collar on this outfit. The black says sophistication, while the collar says, Little Bo Peep (nursery rhyme character.)

This is a very pretty sweater, I particularly love the collar, its different. The only quibble I have is the pants and the boots. I like pants longer than these. The crawler earrings are a welcome addition.

This seems a very odd outfit from Letizia and clearly removed from her otherwise svelte official self. I'm not sure what about tourism might inspire such an ornate collar, unless it's linked to some regional craft perhaps. But the Sandro top doesn't work for me, and the statement collar looks out-of-place against a deep V-neckline. It's the kind of thing I expect to find on a more artisan style of top.

I like the Hugo Boss paper bag trousers, this is the kind of quirky I can deal with, though the Unisa boots look very heavy under them. At least they have a comfortable heel of the kind Letizia seems keen to incorporate in her wardrobe. Hooray for the Gold & Roses Double Dagger earrings, these I am always fond of!
