Letizia added a touch of glam to her look with gold accessories. On her feet she wore metallic gold slingback pumps by Magrit.
The King and Queen of Spain, accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses, Leonor, Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofía, attended the XXIX Princess of Asturias Award Concert, at the 'Príncipe Felipe' Conference Center Auditorium in Oviedo, on the eve of the Awards Ceremony as part of a week characterised by intense cultural activity.
The concert honoured, Joaquín Rodrigo (1901-1999), a Spanish composer and a virtuoso pianist, on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of his Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts.
The Princess of Asturias Awards, formerly the Prince of Asturias Awards from 1980 to 2014, are a series of annual prizes awarded in Spain by the Princess of Asturias Foundation to individuals, entities or organisations from around the world who make notable achievements in the sciences, humanities, and public affairs. The awards are presented annually in a solemn ceremony at the Campoamor Theatre in Oviedo, the capital of the Principality of Asturias, and are handed out by Leonor, Princess of Asturias, the Honorary President of the Foundation.
For the first four years since attending in her role as Queen consort, Letizia relied on Felipe Varela to outfit her for the annual concert.
However, in 2018 she dropped the Spanish couturier in favor of an off-the-rack little black dress by Italian luxury brand Emporio Armani.
In 2019, Her Majesty showcased a striking set by Spanish label, The 2nd Skin Co. The concert did not go ahead in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, Queen Letizia stepped out in an olive green flutter sleeve dress featuring tonal feathers down the side slit. Unfortunately, the designer of the dress in currently unknown.
The back has a wrap-effect with a cut-out section.
Letizia added a touch of glam to her look with gold accessories. On her feet she wore metallic gold slingback pumps by Magrit.
She also debuted Magrit's 'Alice' clutch in the same custom metallic tone
Gold hoop earrings completed the ensemble.

I like the olive colour of Letizia's dress and the flutter sleeves. The wraparound effect at the back is also an interesting design but I've never been a fan of feathers on clothing. Although they are fun and add some interest they also look odd especially in motion. I like they way the designer used a different shade of green so there was some contrast between the dress and feathers but I think it would look better without them.

I like Letizia's dress, the colour, the fluid styling, but I could live without the intrusive feathers. I always admire Letizia's penchant for experimentation and am happy for her to keep it, I'm just sorry I can't follow her on this one. I wonder if photographs fail to do the dress justice and the effect is more alluring in RL. I love the gold Magrit accessories and I take my hat off to Infanta Sofia's elegant pick.

What an interesting dress! I’m not so sure about the flutter sleeves. While they do balance the feathers along the slit they almost make the top part of the dress look too big. I Iove the gold accessories. I think they are a good substitute for jewelry which might have been just too much with all that is going on with the dress.

Oh my, this is a rather strange dress that I am trying to like, but can't. I find the colour to be so drab, that even gold shoes and purse can't bring it to life. The top of the dress has an interesting construction with its crossover back and flutter sleeves, although that doesn't win me over. As for the feathers, their colour doesn't match the fabric and their purpose is lost on me. I do, however, like both the dresses that the young princesses are wearing.

The princesses both look beautiful! Their hair and their dresses are glamorous and age-appropriate. I love the color of Leonor's dress! I like parts of the Queen's dress and parts I do not like. The color looks good on Letizia though I prefer brighter colors. The sleeves, especially from the back, are well executed. The feathers down the side aren't to my taste and make the dress look unfinished starting halfway down the dress. I don't think putting the feathers on top would have helped, however. I would of preferred no feathers and some sparkling details instead. Her beautiful bracelets and earrings were top notch for the occasion.

Of 2021's 'new looks', this is the first ensemble that has truly wowed me! The Queen looks divine. The olive hue matches her eyes and compliments her dark hair, while modern accessories and a sleek ponytail add sophistication to the playful details. The calm symmetry of the column skirt is cleverly broken by the opulent feathers and the flutter sleeves add fluidity to the bodice. I adore the wrap back feature, it's unexpected. The triangle of lower skin echos the flash of thigh seen through the slit. Fabric elegantly skims the body and the dark green lining marries with the feathers perfectly during motion. I wonder if this dress was created by the same atelier as the; cobalt blue wrap gown, grey wrap dress and sky blue dress with jewelled buttons. If so, I hope Letizia continues to patronize them. The garments are beautifully made and bespoke pieces by an unknown designer will be impossible to price. The media will therefore be forced to focus on the event and the quality of the garment alone.

I've warmed to those feathers more since my first sight of them, they seemed dominating at first. I've come to appreciate how fluid they are in movement and what a sensational feature they make edging the slit. The dress is quite a work of art with all the features it incorporates, but all done so smoothly I think I can now join you in being wowed!

Hi Bertie, I'm so pleased the dress has grown on you! Overall I thought the dress would get rave reviews but I appreciate that feathers can be polarizing. Despite the details, the lines are long and clean, and the fit is exceptional. Certainly my favourite look of the year so far!

This dress is quite nice, without the feathers. I love the fluttered sleeves and crossover back. I can only assume this dress looks better with the feather effect in person. I love the colour of the dress and the gold accessories.
