Today, Letizia opted to carry her Carolina Herrera 'Astrud' black clutch bag. On her feet were her black suede pointed toe pumps - also by the Venezuelan fashion designer.
The King and Queen of Spain attended a session of the Scientific Council of the Elcano Royal Institute (ERI) in Madrid.
King Felipe VI is the honorary president of the ERI, which was established in 2001 as a non-profit foundation. It is a think tank and its task is to study international reality and the position of Spain on the global stage.
The Scientific Council is a consultative body of the Institute and Their Majesties engaged in an analysis session on the effects of COVID-19 on the world via a video conference with members of the Scientific Council, who are experts from different geopolitical areas.
Queen Letizia looked professional in a grey zip front jacket by Hugo Boss. It is the BOSS 'Koralie9' Jacket (£300) featuring a pattered stretch cotton tweed with white piped seams, round neck, 2 slip pockets, and a golden two-way zip fastening. The piece is from a past season collection and no longer available.
Letizia teamed it with a chic pair of cropped pants. It's hard to say for certain, but they may be any one of the following three pairs of black cropped trousers she currently has in her closet:

Very chic. Seeing Letizia out on an engagement with pretty fitted jacket and wide crops gives me hope we might return to some sort of normal one day - fingers crossed. It sends a powerful message when royals keep stepping up to the plate. The cotton tweed with white piping is a treat from Hugo Boss, the pale grey suitably low key while also feminine. Leitizia rocks crops as ever and we have Herrera to thank for smart accessories. All very suitable for discussing worldwide implications of the virus.

I like the jacket, but it is very similar to the black one and the navy one she has debuted recently. I guess black, grey, and navy are the acceptable colors to wear during the Covid-19 crisis. I can't wait to see Letizia in more color. I know she is trying to be respectful of the hard times people are going through, but I could use some cheerful colors to make my day!

Letizia must have a enough blazers and jackets to fill a stadium! The pairing with the cropped trousers gives the outfit a contemporary look. It's interesting she decided to bring a clutch today. I think that's a first since the pandemic started.
